Chapter 6 Chelsea POV

" When will it come ? " Dante asked.

" In three days, and unless we move away from here, he will come here and there will be many casualties. We need to lure him away. This is your chance to decide who comes and who doesn't " I told them.

" Where will we go ? " asked Darius.

I looked at Arakas, and he gave a slight nod as he held his same in his arm. I felt the reassuring presence of my mate at my back.

" We will go to our home " Adam said to me. " We want to remain there until this is all done, and we wish to extend that to you all too. This fight is not one for mortal soil. We can not have it here " Adam stated.

" I have a better idea " Darius said this time, his voice much deeper. I knew this was now his wolf, Vax. I met Vax many years ago. Everyone turned to look at him. " We take it to my home. It is not on mortal soil. It is also not roamed by demons, it is empty, completely so. No injuries to any innocents, no one seeing you Natassa " he stated.

I nodded my head at him, it was a good idea.

" He will follow wherever we go " I told him, and Darius nodded.

" Do we stay there the whole time ? " Killian asked. It was Dante who answered. " I think it's best, between all the magic here, some sort of homes can be magicked up. Vax's land is just open and very beautiful, but no bed showers and so on. We all have people we trust to keep our homes safe while we are gone and we are only a click away to come back if needed " he stated. I smiled at him, glad we were on the same page.

" We need to go get Amber " Adam said in my mind.

My heart clenched at the mention of Amber. I had hoped bringing her here would help, but she had been in her room not coming out , locking herself away nd barley speaking, barley eating. My father, me, Liam and Kathy and even Adam had tried to go and talk to her, but she had closed herself off. Same as Frank, he never really came out of his room. I think that was more to avoid my father and Adam. Not all had been forgiven just yet.

" I will go talk to her, Frank also needs to be brought " I felt Adams' displeasure at that. He grumbled something under his breath and I smiled at my mate. No matter how humanly he tried to be, forgiveness was not one thing he cared for.

" We should leave soon. I shall just go gather the others we came with " I told the room.

" More people came with you ? " My nephew asked as he stepped into step with me. I looked up at him and frowned , why was he so interested ?

" Yes, Amber, her brother died in the last battle. He chose the enemy instead of us. She is a mess and is fading in her own mind. She won't come out of her room. Then Frank, he was the alpha wolf that wanted to kill me, but it was all a misunderstanding. He's hiding because Adam scares the sh*t out of him and my father", I laughed.

I saw him visibly fling and my frown deepened. " What is it ? " I asked him.

" Both sound like a mess. My mate is close, I have been all over this castle, and coven no one has yet been it. Anyone new is a potential person to be my mate. What if it is one of them ? " He stated, looking deep in thought.

" One of them, as in you wouldn't mind it being either ? " I asked. He looked at me and grinned cheekily just like his father. " Na, I don't mind it being either. I like both. But it also makes me sad to choose just one gender to spend my whole life with " he sighs like it was a dilemma.

" Well, if it is one of them, and they are a mess, is that an issue ? " I asked.

He looked deep in thought and then shook his head." Not really, I just don't want whoever it is to push me away if they are hurting that much ". As I rounded the corner to Amber's room, I felt anxious. If he was, would it be OK to bombard her this way?

Maybe that would be what she needed. I sensed Adam coming up behind me. I looked back and saw he was looking at me like I was his prey. Frank was at the other end of the hall. I sent Adam for him to try and mend the bridge. " Maybe you should go with Adam to see if it is Frank first ? " I suggested to Nate.

He looked down at me confused.

" Amber is a little fragile right now, plus Frank and Adam and Frank don't exactly get along. If he is your mate, you may want to stop him getting hurt " I winced. I felt Adam's anger already at having to deal with Frank.

Nate looked back at Adam, then down at me and nodded. I stopped outside Amber's door and waited for them to pass before I went in. When I did, she was lying on the bed. Her eyes were open, but she didn't look aware. Moving over to her, I went and laid down next to her and looked into her red and puffy eyes.

" We are moving from here, Amber. I came to get you so that we can go " I murmured.

She sniffled and looked down. " I can't believe it still, I can't believe that he chose her over me " she whispered.

My heart broke for her. I moved my hand to her face and stroked it down it. " I know, he still loved you Amber that much, I could see" was all I could say. Nothing would make this right for her. She needed time.

She shook her head , a fresh tear escaped. " Not enough" she said her voice thick with emotions.

" Amber she was an evil woman, she manipulated him. She took your brother and she changed him. Made him something he was not " I tried, but the pain in her eyes did not lessen.

" Where are we going ? " She asked.

" To a godly plane, another realm. The war is about to start, and we need you too. Your new family needs you " I told her.

She let out a shaky breath." I don't understand why you are being so kind to me. I don't deserve it ".

I was about to answer her back when the door opened and Nate came storming in, a pissed-off Adam behind him.

Nate came to the bed and looked down at Amber. " I knew it, I knew my mate was close " he said triumphant. Amber gasped and then Frank wandered in too and then froze. His eyes widened and Nate looked back at him. " Wait, why do I feel it now? I felt nothing moments ago in your room " he stated, looking at Frank confused now.

" What is happening ? I told you to wait, Nate" I snapped, sitting up.

Nate looked at me, his brows furrowed. He then looked between Frank and Amber," I didn't fele any mate bond with him, so I came here to see if Amber was. Now I feel it with him and her " he mused.

" Mate ? " Amber said. She sat up gingerly.

" Why do I feel a connection to you ? I didn't feel it before ? " She was looking at Frank now. She looked a little horrified.

"Wait you two met before and felt nothing ? " Nate asked.

I pulled myself off of the bed. Frank was standing frozen, his eyes bouncing between both. He looked petrified.

" Your all confusing me. Who feels a mate bond for who here ? " Adam huffed.

" Both " Nate pointed between them.

Amber nodded " Both " her voice trembled as she confirmed it. Although she looked at Frank, she didn't look the best of pleased. Which Frank absolutely saw.

" Both, but I deserve none " Frank said. He swallowed hard and took a step back. Then he turned and walked out the door stiffly.

" How can that be he just said Frank wasn't and Amber and Frank never said anything before? " Adam stated.

" They wanted them all to meet at the same time as mates", I mused.

" Why ? They didn't do that for Uncle Cage, Aunt Della and Aunt Valarie. Uncle Cage and Aunt Valarie met first and were fully mated, and then they found Aunt Della" he was looking at the door p*ssed off, probably because one of his mates had just bolted.

" Most likely because they need you to mend the bridge , one of your mates played a part in what causes your other mate pain. Your the glue " I said. It made sense to me. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe I wasn't. But when Nate looked at Amber and how broken she looked, I saw how his eyes softened. He hadn't seen how much of a mess she looked in his excitement before.

" We leave soon. I will go try and find Frank after he has had time to digest this and give you privacy " I said as I walked past Adam, snagging his hand on the way out. I wanted something from him before we left and lived in each other's pockets for a while.
