The girl and the bad boy

Today was like any other day. I enter the school eat breakfast go into math finish all my classes and then drive home but there was some thing about today that was going to be different. There’s a new student I hope it’s a girl I could really use a new best friend right now my old one Mia she’s kind of stuck to her boyfriend but that’s OK I understand. I was walking down the hallway to my first class when I notice a strange face that I’ve never seen before. A boy. Oh, he must be the new student. He was tall and muscular and had black hair. I instantly knew what category to put him under, he was a bad boy type I do not like bad boys. I was almost to my locker when I seen the new boy walk to the bad boy group. They like to tease me. whenever I walked by them they would always call me names but this time they laughed at me and tripped me and I dropped all my books. I got down to pick them up. I picked them up as fast as I could because lander was standing right there staring at me. There was a look on his face, like he kind of felt bad. I walk to my locker and put my things up and got my stuff ready for my next class. I see a dark shadow walking towards me but I don’t want to look because I think I know who it is. I was right. it’s Lander I wonder what he’s coming over here to do this time. He walks up to me and stares. I try to ignore him but it’s really hard. I was not expecting these next words to come out of his mouth. “Hey, I’m so sorry for what they did back there.” Lander said. “They are just bullies.” I couldn’t believe what he was saying,he really had the nerve to come up and apologize to me I don’t believe him at all. I finished getting my things for my next class and I walked off without saying a word. I could tell he was staring at me because I could feel his eyes burn a hole through the back of my head. when school was over and I got home my mom Laura was making supper. Tonight was taco night. I took my shoes off at the door and walked upstairs to put my things in my room. I changed into some more comfy clothes and went downstairs and ate dinner. I told my parents good night and went to bed. I climbed in my bed and soon quickly fell asleep I started dreaming about lander. It’s like I couldn’t get them out of my head. I had only met him one day and I’ve already got this weird crush on him. I kept telling myself that I don’t like bad boys. He’s not my type and he’s not gonna be good for me. But it’s like my stubborn brain wouldn’t let it go. What if he wasn’t just pretending to apologize? what if he was actually sorry? Great now I feel like a jerk. Morning comes and I get up and get ready I prepare myself to apologize to him. I don’t know how I’m going to do it. I feel so embarrassed. when I get to school I go to my locker I see lander walking down the hallway. I turn and quickly grab my things and run to catch him. I tap his shoulder, he turns around and looked shocked like he didn’t expect to see me. “Look I’m sorry for how I was acting yesterday. It’s just those guys have always picked on me and it makes me mad.” I said. “It’s okay, I’m sorry for yesterday to.” Lander said. Her face turned bright red as she said thank you and turned to walk away. He grabbed her arm and said “Hey, my buddy Duke has a early graduation party tonight if you would want to come? There shouldn’t be a whole lot of people there.” Landor said. “Sure I guess” Harper said. “Great” said Lander. “See you then”. she watches him while he walks away. He has a little bit more happiness in the way he walks. She giggles and goes to class. That night after she gets home and eats dinner she goes to her room and gets ready for bed. She’s about to climb in bed when she hears a strange sound outside her window. she walked over and slowly looks behind the curtain and there he is. “lander” she says. The tall black haired muscular boy that her parents would never let her go out, with staring at her. She forgot she said sure to go to dance. She quickly panicked realizing they have been staring at each other that whole time. She moves away from the window grabs a short baby blue dress that hugs her body. she grabs a pair of black high heels and her purse and climbs out the window onto a roof and climbs down the tree. She slips and skins her knee. Lander rushes to her, grabbing her by the waist and setting her safely on the ground. he sees her knee and says let’s go to my truck I have a first aid kit. she laughs and says OK. They quietly walk down her long gravel driveway. At the party there’s loud music and alcohol everywhere. Her father and mother would never approve. When they get there he opens the door and offers her a hand. She takes his hand and steps out onto the ground. Across the yard she sees Maya her best friend waving at her. She walks away from Lander leaving him alone at the truck and goes to talk to Mia. His face hardens as he sees she’s found someone else to talk to. Maya asked “what are you doing here with him?” Harper says “he invited me to the party”. Mia gets upset because Harper told her no with she asked her to go to the party and she said yes to Lander. Mia then realized that Harper is not into bad boys like Lander so what is she doing with him?? She decided not to ask Harper any questions and to just go have fun. They walk into the house and pour two drinks into red solo cups and go to sit on the empty grey sofa in the lounge room. There are people everywhere and Harper starts to get uncomfortable. “ I don’t like this anymore“ Harper said to Mia. But it was to late Mia was already passed out drunk. Harper looked around the room for the closest exit and instead found lander staring and walker towards her quickly. It’s like he knew she wanted to get away. Lander comes up to her and says “ Are you okay?” “ I think I need some fresh air” harper says. “Here come with me.” Lander says as he offers harper a hand. Harper takes his hand and walks up the high stairs with him. The stairs lead to a hallway and lander stops in front of one of the doors. He opened the door and walked in. “What is he trying to do?” Harper wondered. Harper went inside anyway and was amazed by all the books she seen. “Do you read?” Lander says staring at her. “Yes” says Harper. “I’m just surprised to see books in your room.” She says as she walks over to the bookshelf and finds her favorite book. She plops down next to him and he quickly takes the book from her soft hands. She looks at him confused as he starts to read. “I’ve never would have imagined him being this gentle” she thought as she laid back on his bed and listen to the sound of his husky voice. He laid down beside her and kept reading. She realized that she was getting tired and scooted closer to landers warm body fell asleep. Lander heard the soft snores and looked at her. Sound asleep. “She’s so beautiful” he thinks to himself as he covers her up. Lander goes back down stairs where duke is cleaning up the after mass of the party.
