"Is there anything you haven't lied to me about? I'm just asking out of curiosity." I turn to face him a bit annoyed and he sighs.
"Ocean, in my defense, a lot of people don't know, not even my parents."
"How is that-" I take a deep breath, "why?"
"Maria was the result of a one night stand, but her mother died soon after she was born, car accident. Perhaps a year after that I was arrested, and of course custody was taken away from me, it was only till after I was released that I got it back, partially, but I had everything arranged already, where she'd live, with who, but I didn't tell her that I was her father
"You're barely making any sense right now, does she know now?"
"I do!" She chimes happily and I cant help but smile.
"Why'd you keep it from her?"
"I don't know," he answered
