“Bennnn let’s go!” Jane whined as she lay her head on the cafeteria table and waited for her boyfriend 

“I’ll finish this page and we’ll leave , please?” Ben replied in a soft voice as he stretched his arm out and ruffled her hair , still looking into his laptop and typing away. 

“You always do this, I’m so bored” Jane said and sighed dramatically  

“Alright alright fine, let’s go you drama queen” Ben said as he chuckled and closed his laptop and stuffed it in his bag 

Jane grinned and sprang up from her seat and linked her arm with his. 

“Where are we off to nerd?” Jane asked faking a deep voice  

“Uhm I’ll drop you back to your apartment?” Ben dragged out in a confused tone 

“ Boo! Party pooper” Jane cried out rolling her eyes  

“Ice cream then?” Ben questioned  

When he saw Jane shrug , he tried again “ Mc Donal-”  

“Hell yes , let’s go” Jane cheered and dragged Ben towards the gates of their college

-The next day- 

“Welcome Kenneth everyone, he’s new , will be joining y’all from today” The professor said in a bored tone and then turned to the student to see if he had something to say. 

Kenneth scrunched his face questioningly  

“Want to go sit?” The professor asked sarcastically  

Kenneth scoffed and shook his head while he walked up to his seat. 

“Don’t sit here, don’t sit here, don-” Jane was muttering to herself as she rubbed her palms nervously under her desk. 

“Can I sit here?” The new guy asked  

“f**k” Jane cussed under her breath “Sure” she said in a small voice as she pushed up her glasses on her nose. 

“Great, I’m Kenneth Ray” he said as he gave her a small smile 

“Jane” she replied looking towards the professor so she didn’t have to make eye contact 

“Jaannee” Kenneth dragged out as everyone around them looked at them 

Jane looked at him , ridiculed and gritted her teeth  

‘Annoying’ She thought to herself as she politely asked him to shut up and waited for class to be over.

-during lunch- 

“I think photography isn’t for me after all” Jane commented as she took a bite of her taco 

“I don’t understand you”  Bencommented  

“I have to sit beside this new douche in one of the lectures and it’s draining, should I just join you in Literature? Writing cute romance sounds great to me right now” Jane said with a sigh and a stuffed mouth 

Ben cringed “I was talking about that” he said as he looked at the tissue in front of her on the table of their regularly visited taco stop. 

Jane looked down at the contents of her taco that she had separated from it and kept it on the tissue. 

“You might as well just order a pain cheese taco if you aren’t eating all that” Ben said as he shook his head 

“I’ve told you before , it’s the after taste” Jane said as she moaned out after taking a another bite , making Ben shake his head  

“What was that about a douche?” he asked finishing his own meal and wiping his hand 

“Yeah, right, so this new dude in class was being all cute” Jane said with another mouthful of food 

“Uh huh” Ben said with a smile  

“Yeah , and he speaks a lot" Jane continued “ now that I think about it, sounds a lot like when you started courting me” Jane said thoughtfully  

“Hey , you aren’t going to leave me or anything for this cute dude right?” Ben asked playfully 

“Only if you play nice” Jane replied just as playfully 

They both smiled and leaned in over the table and let their lips meet.

-The next day- 

“Please babe , listen to me” Ben pleaded as he followed Jane towards her class 

“Listen to what Ben? How you went behind my back kissing some hoe? Want to give me the details babe?” Jane said mockingly as she took long strides towards her class 

“I didn’t! Sh-”  

Jane abruptly stopped and turned sharply looking up at Ben. 

“Save it, I don’t care anymore, this isn’t the first time anyways” Jane commented bitterly as her face turned red and her eyes teared up. 

“Jane..” Ben pleaded as he reached down to wipe the tear that slipped out and rolled down her cheeks. 

Jane pushed his arm away “f**k off” she said softly  

Just as she turned to leave again , Ben caught her arm and pulled her towards him , making her slip and crash against his chest. 

“Leave me” Jane shrieked out, surprised  

“Please listen to me , she forced herself on me , you have to bel-” Ben rushed out  

“I believed you the first two times” Jane spat out 

“You know that wasn’t like th-” Ben started but was cut off when Jane pulled her arm away from him and swung her elbow into his side making him choke  

“ASSHOLE” Jane shouted out at him and ran through the empty hallways towards her class.

-In class- 

‘Why the f**k did I think it was a good idea to come to class in this state?’ Jane thought to herself in annoyance as she tried to ignore the stares she was getting from the class at her with the red nose and runny mascara. 

“It’s a good look on you” Kenneth commented sarcastically at the guy beside him as he stared over at Jane  

“Sorry?" The guy asked confused  

“The nosy neighbour look , it suits you , wear like a loose cotton pyjama and damn” Kenneth commented with a smile  

The guy awkwardly cleared his throat “I don’t know what you are talking about man” he said looking into his book 

Kenneth rolled his eyes and proceeded to glare at everyone around them who were still shamelessly staring at Jane , making them look away. 

“You don’t have to-” Jane told him in a cracking voice 

“It’s fine” Kenneth replied as he looked softly into Jane’s brown eyes behind her round glasses 

“Thank you” Jane replied in a soft voice and pulled at the sleeves of her hoodie , looking away from Kenneth

-At Kenneth’s apartment- 

“She has the prettiest brown eyes and soft strands of brown hair” Kenneth said with a smile  

“How long?" the person on the other side of the call inquired 

“Up to her shoulder...?” he replied puzzled 

“Uh huh” the person commented suggestively making Kenneth chuckle 

“And she has this soft , sweet voice , ah” Kenneth continued, sighing dreamily 

“There has to be something wrong with her, is she taller than you?” the question came 

“Nope , about my height” he replied 

“Well she must have weird ears then?” the person asked hopefully 

“Possibly” Kenneth said with a small laugh  

“No wonder” the person said as they both shared a laugh

-At Jane’s apartment- 

“What does he look like?” Jane heard Bailey say when she told her about her day 

“I can hear you smile” Jane groaned “It doesn’t matter you little s**t”  

“But it does , you deserve more than a cheating piece of fairy poop and this cute dude from class standing up for you says a lot” she heard her sister reply firmly 

“I literally just broke up, don’t fill my brains with s**t” Jane commanded  

“I’m not, just asking” she heard Bailey say innocently 

“Sure” Jane said sarcastically 

“Come onnnn” she got a reply 

“Ugh, he’s cute , green eyes , curly hair-” Jane started 

“Blonde?” her sister asked , cutting her off’  

“No, brown” Jane replied 

“Aw man, cute!” Bailey said making Jane smile as she was urged to speak by her 16-year-old sister  

“Yeah so...he’s about my height and has a deep , smooth voice...” Jane started describing Kenneth to her sister as she spoke into the night.
