Thorns with fragrance

    The wind rustled the curtains of the windows and Jane could hear the crickets.  She smiled and sipped on her coffee as she sat on the chair of the tiny round table in the kitchen of the hut.  Jane sighed and kept her cup away and looked at the time on the clock hung on the wall opposite her, he still hadn’t returned.  ‘Positive thoughts babe, positive thoughts’ she heard his voice tell her in her head in his calm but deep and smooth voice.  Just as she made her mind to take a nap , she heard shuffling from the living room.  “Ken? Is that you?” She asked as her heart started pounding   The kitchen fell quite as Jane waited for an answer   “B-Babe?” She called out again , now slowly walking out of the kitchen and into the living room  Looking into the dark room , her heart started pounding harder.  Jane stood in the middle of the living room breathing heavy when she felt a breath on her neck and chills ran down her body, thoughts raced through her mind and she let out a blood curdling scream.    ___________________________________________________________________________________
