-The next morning-
“Hey there beautiful” Ken greeted Jane when she left her apartment building with a sweater-knit bright green tank top tucked into her high waisted jeans paired with a jean jacket.
“Ken? What are you doing here?” She questioned as she rushed down the stairs and towards Ken, eyeing him in his button down pale blue shirt, with his sleeves rolled up and half tucked into his Tan jeans.
“I was waiting for you so we could go to University together, obviously” Ken simply stated
“No s**t, how did you know where I lived? I don’t think you dropped me off here before”’ Jane asked with an awkward chuckle
Ken had dropped Jane off about two blocks away, she had never shown him where she lived exactly, no one from university knew where she lived
“I... was making sure you made it home safely” Ken said scratching the back of his head sheepishly
“Ken!” Jane said with a smile “That’s creepy don’t do that”
“I realised, I’m sorry” Ken said staring at Jane with guilt
Jane said it was fine and laughed it off
“Hey, you look good by the way” she complimented with a slight blush
“O-Oh, thank you” Ken said blinking as Jane started walking ahead of him
Ken chuckled and started following her as he said “You look...absolutely stunning” he said trying to sound nonchalant.
Jane let out a little laugh as the blush rose up in her face even more
“So where do you think we should go for our date?” Ken asked with a large grin as he slipped his fingers between Jane’s and swung their hands.
“O-Our date?” Jane asked startled as she looked down at their hands and let herself process everything
“Yes of course, shouldn’t we be going on those now?” Ken asked like it was the most obvious thing
“Right, of course, uh well we can walk through the forest and have a picnic on like Sunday?” Jane said nodding to herself
“Why did you seem so prepared with that answer? You don’t want to think more?” Ken asked confused
“No..?” Jane replied, sounding just as confused
“Have you been there for a date before?” Ken asked with a hint of jealously in his voice
Jane looked at him as he sulked looking down at his shoes as they walked and smiled to herself
“Yeah obviously, it’s the cutest place for a date, I think you’ll love it too” she said
“Too? Did Ben love that place too?” Ken asked bitterly
“Huh? No” Jane said, feigning confusion
Ken almost let out a breath of relief before realising “Wait, who did you go on a date there with?”
“The person I dated before Ben” Jane stated the obvious
Ken nodded and didn’t say anything so Jane continued
“And with the person before that, and before that” she said simply
Ken finally calmed down and looked at her with a defeated grin
“You sly little thing” He said as he playfully elbowed her arm as she started giggling
“I haven’t been there with anyone before, it’s a special place to me and I wanted to take someone only when my heart allowed me to” she said with a smile and turned to her side to look up at Ken staring back at her with almost sparkling eyes
“You look way too pleased, what a puppy” Jane commented with a chuckle
Ken stiffened for a second and his smile faded as he said “I had an argument with Brie yesterday, I don’t think I will we speaking to her anymore”
“Huh? What? Does it have anything to do with me?” Jane asked with a hit of guilt in her voice
“No, no, it was nothing” He said and didn’t elaborate, Jane caught on and didn’t press onto it any further
“It’s fine’ Jane said and removed her hand from his and instead linked their elbows together with a soothing smile
Ken just looked at her gratefully and nodded “I know” he said

-Later in class-
“Surprise” Ken whispered as Jane stood with her mouth hanging open during her 2nd class that wasn’t with Ken but yet here he was, sitting down looking all smug
“What the f**k man?” Jane whispered back as she took the seat next to him as the professor started speaking
“I had to take the one class with your batch of people because I joined late but then I met you and now I thought I might as well change to all of your classes, I convinced 4 of the professors, I need to flatter the grinch dude later again” He narrated, his tone calm
“Why are you speaking like this is the most normal thing to do?” Jane asked ridiculed as she tried to suppress her smile
“I mean, I didn’t do anything wrong plus I thought it’d make you happy...” Ken said, sounding worried but when he turned to his side he was met with a grinning Jane
“I am happy!” Jane said tilting her head and pursing her lips and looking touched
Ken breathed out a sigh of relief, nodded and turned back, facing the front of the class “I’m glad , we get to spend way more time together now”
Jane turned back to the professor too and continued grinning.

-During lunch-
“Ugh, finally” Jane signed as she kept her bag down next to her and slumped onto a chair in the cafeteria
Ken pulled out the chair opposite the table Jane sat on and sighed too
“Everything is getting overbearing huh” he said leaning onto the table , resting his elbow on the table and looking and Jane
Jane mimicked his actions and replied “Yeah” she said and pouted and lay her head on the table.
“Do you want to eat something?” Ken asked
Jane ignored his question and started ranting, sitting up straight “I need to think about what to for the workshop and my figure out that stupid setting on the camera so I can finally understand what Mr. Cliff is teaching and I need to..” and she went on about everything she needs to do for quite sometime and sighed again
Ken just sat and listened to her intently, nodding and humming whenever Jane looked at him
“Do you need my help with anything then? I can come over to your apartment today or whever and help you out” He asked finally
Jane looked uncomfortable so he quickly started taking back what he said but Jane cut him off and said “Can we do it at yours instead” she requested
Ken paused and blinked “Oh, right, yeah sure” He confirmed with a smile
“Tomorrow at your place then after university then?” She asked, to which Ken nodded
“Great” Jane said and finally replied to his question from earlier “Also, I would like a coffee please”
“Are you sure you don’t want anything to eat? There is a lot of work to be done, you should eat well” he stated firmly as he got up and went to buy them a meal.
