CHAPTER 1

A young couple living in a small village, named sade, and Bayo they were overjoyed when their baby girl, Florence, was born. They had dreamed of starting a family, and now their dream had finally come true. But as they navigated the challenges of parenthood, they realized that balancing work and caring for a newborn was no easy feat.

Bayo, a successful businessman, had a demanding job that required long hours, while Sade, a talented artist, needed time to focus on her craft. They struggled to find a reliable nanny to care for Florence, as they wanted the best for their daughter. That's when they met Blessings, a charming and experienced nanny who seemed perfect for the job.

Blessings had a warm smile and a gentle touch, and she immediately connected with Florence. She was knowledgeable about childcare and had a soothing presence that put Bayo and Sade at ease. They were impressed by her references and her experience working with children, and they felt grateful to have found someone they could trust.

As Blessings settled into her new role, Bayo and Sade noticed a significant change in their lives. Florence was happy and content, and they could finally focus on their work without worrying about their daughter's care. Blessings was a godsend, and they felt lucky to have her in their lives.

But little did they know, Blessings had a dark secret. She was not who she claimed to be, and her intentions were far from pure. She had a hidden agenda, and it didn't involve the well-being of Bayo, Sade, or Florence there beautiful child. At first, everything seemed perfect. Blessings was caring for Florence with ease, and Bayo and Sade were finally getting some much-needed rest. But as the days went by, they started to notice strange occurrences. Florence would cry uncontrollably at night, and Blessings would always have an excuse for her behavior.

"She's just teething, don't worry," she'd say, or "She's going through a phase, it's normal."

But Bayo and Sade couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. They would find Florence's toys scattered around the house, and Blessings would claim that the baby had done it herself. They would hear strange noises at night, like whispers and creaks, and Blessings would tell them it was just the wind.

One day, Bayo came home early from work to find Blessings sitting in the dark, staring at Florence with an intense gaze. He felt a chill run down his spine and asked her what she was doing. Blessings quickly turned on the light and smiled, saying she was just checking on the baby.

Bayo couldn't explain why, but he felt uneasy. He started to wonder if they had made a mistake by hiring Blessings. He mentioned his concerns to Sade, but she was too caught up in her work to notice anything out of the ordinary.

"I'm sure it's just your imagination, dear," she said, dismissing his concerns.

But Bayo couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong. He decided to keep a closer eye on Blessings, unaware that Detective James was already investigating her suspicious activities...
