CHAPTER 2

The Mysterious Message

Bayo's concerns about Blessings grew stronger every day. He started to notice strange behaviors from her, like her constant glances at her watch and her sudden interest in their family's finances. He couldn't understand why she would ask them about their income and expenses, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that she was up to something.

One day, as he was checking his email, he saw a message from an unknown sender. The subject line read: "Be careful of your nanny." Bayo's heart raced as he opened the message, which read:

"Dear Bayo and Sade,

I know this may seem strange, but I have reason to believe that your nanny, Blessings, is not who she claims to be. I've been investigating her activities, and I have evidence that suggests she's involved in some shady dealings.

Please be cautious and keep an eye on your daughter. I'll be in touch soon with more information.

A concerned citizen"

Bayo's mind raced as he read the message. Who was this person, and what did they know about Blessings? He showed the message to Sade, who was equally concerned. They decided to confront Blessings, but she had an explanation for everything.

"I think someone's playing a prank on you," she said, smiling sweetly. "I assure you, I'm here for Florence's well-being only."

But Bayo and Sade weren't convinced. They started to notice more strange occurrences, like Blessings' constant phone calls and her sudden interest in their family's schedule. They realized that they had to take action, but they didn't know where to start.

That's when Detective James appeared at their doorstep, with a stern expression on his face.

"I'm investigating a case of child abduction," he said, "and I have reason to believe that your nanny is involved."

Bayo and Sade's world was about to be turned upside down Detective James' words sent a chill down Bayo and Sade's spines. They couldn't believe what they were hearing. "What makes you think Blessings is involved?" Bayo asked, trying to stay calm.

"I've been tracking a suspicious individual who matches her description," Detective James replied. "And I have evidence that suggests she's using dark magic to manipulate families."

Bayo and Sade exchanged a skeptical glance. Dark magic? It sounded like something out of a movie. But Detective James' serious expression made them realize that he wasn't joking.

Just then, Blessings walked into the room, a sweet smile on her face. "What's going on?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with innocence.

Detective James narrowed his eyes. "I think you know exactly what's going on, Blessings. You're not who you claim to be, are you?"

Blessings' smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said, her voice dripping with sweetness.

But Bayo and Sade saw something in her eyes, a glimmer of deceit. They realized that Detective James was right, and their nanny was not what she seemed.

As they watched, Blessings began to chant in a low voice, her hands weaving a strange pattern in the air. Bayo and Sade felt a strange sensation, as if they were being pulled into a trance.

Detective James sprang into action, grabbing Blessings' arm and pulling her away from the couple. "You're not going to cast your spell on them," he growled.

But Blessings just laughed, her eyes gleaming with malevolence. "You can't stop me," she hissed. "I have the power of dark magic on my side."

And with that, she vanished into thin air, leaving Bayo, Sade, and Detective James stunned and bewildered...
