CHAPTER SEVENTEEN.

Ava walked in the hallway. Her mind wasn't really at rest. She felt like something was about to happen. What was about to happen?

Ava stopped when she heard everyone phone beeped. She watched everyone look at their phone. She was confused. The stares and the murmuring were all too negative. Everyone eyes were all her. And this time it was filled with disgust. Ava heard someone say " such a demon slut" and that wasn't all, she heard more and more insults directed at her. Some quietly and some intensionally loud, just for her to hear.

Ava phone beeped. Ava wanted to stop her hand. But it went into her pocket. Ava unlocked her phone and saw the message. The disgusting message that she was sure everyone has seen. Ava hand trembled. She looked around slowly, she was ashamed and embarrassed. She wanted the ground to swallow her. But it didn't. The ground was perfectly still, so still that the only thing she could feel was the stared, the disgust and the shame.

Was this his doing? Or... Ava wanted to know but her legs were to heavy to lift. Ava sighed loudly and manage to slowly walked out of the hallway.

She knew everyone was talking about her. And she knew it was bad. This could ruin her.

Miriam could ruin her.

Kofi smiled and lifted the weight. Slowly and sexily. This was one of the things he liked about his class. The gym equipments. Kofi smirked and dropped the lift. Hr walked to his chair. He touched his forehead, he was sweating.

Kofi removed his shirt and what remained was his naked physically eye catching chest. Kofi dropped his shirt on his table.

" What did you do?" Ava asked angrily storming in.

Kofi turned around and he could tell Ava was caught by surprise. Ava quickly turned around

" Can you f*****g-Wear a shirt" Ava said irate.

Kofi frowned, hesitates then wore his shirt

" It's all clear" Kofi said coldly.

Ava turned around, sighed in relief. Then walked closer to Kofi

" Is this your way of punishing me...I knew you never wanted me to be with Femi. But don't you think this is too much" Ava said angrily.

Kofi stared at Ava for a while, unreadable, he moved his face closer to Ava's

" What the f**k are you talking about?" Kofi asked confused.

Ava chuckled annoyingly

" Now the pretence. Gosh van you just be straight forward "

" I think you are the one that needs to be straight forward. What the f**k are you talking about " Kofi said impatiently.

Ava stared at Kofi , confused.

He doesn't know. And that means. He isn't the one.

Kofi phone beeped and Ava widened her eyes in fear. She quickly took Kofi phone before Kofi could take it.

Kofi looked at her ver contains curious

" My phone " he demanded seriously.

Ava could hear the sound of her heart beat. And it became louder when Kofi slowly walked towards her. Ava moved backwards slowly until her back hit the wall. Ava stared at Kofi whose face was very close. The distance was too little that she could feel her own breath and his. Ava swallowed hard.

Kofi stared at Ava for a while. Then he warmly touched her shoulders. Ava shivered. Kofi slipped his hands around Ava's hand, not looking away from Ava, until he reached Ava palm. He smiled a little and took his phone away from Ava's palm

" I need this" he said and moved away from.

Ava sighed. In relief and in fear that he was going to see it.

Kofi stared at his phone and frowned. He smacked his lips in anger. It was videos and pictures of Ava and Femi, online . And some were kinda intimate.

Kofi wanted to punch Femi. This was his plan all along. s**t.

" This is Femi doing" Kofi said straight forward.

" I'm not surprised you think it's him"

" You should "

" It's not him"

" Then who? You think it's me but not him. Why would I want to destroy our relationship. In case you have forgotten. I am benefitting from it ."

Ava scoffed

" It can't be. It must be one of our stalker. Maybe..."

" So our stalker have access to all this places. This is VI, for crying out loud" Kofi said frustrated " don't be gullible. There is no how anyone can just enter into places like this. " Kofi paused " Femi can. He was always with you" Kofi looked around then stared back at Ava who was already getting it. Kofi was right, It could have been Femi.

And now that she thinks of it. Femi always brings someone along. All the time.

" Do Femi always come with someone" Kofi asked seriously.

Ava hesitated

" Well...yes" she said slowly and sadly.

She was mad at herself. For believing. But why? What would Femi gain from this, he didn't like her so why?

" Just forget about Femi for now"Ava said to Kofi who was enjoying the fact that he was right " we need a plan. " Ava said worried " I can afford to fail... I've come to far. I need to do something" Ava said apprehensive " fast "

" Don't worry. As long as I'm here. We can't fail" Kofi said protectively.

Ava felt warmness in his tone. Like as if he cared. But she told herself that he's Kofi. And Kofi only cares about himself.

Ava sighed. A little bit of her still believed he cared.

Ava rolled on her bed, still sleepless. What was f*****g wrong with her. She was sure that if people sees her like this they will actually believe she was worried about the post. But the truth is she was worried about her ego. If a video of her being rejected by Femi leak out, her pride, her self-esteem, her ego, her ...

" Gosh" Ava whispers and sat upright.

She need to find out who is responsible for this. What if it was Femi? He didn't like her so why would he destroy her relationship?

"No no no no. Enough of thinking of Femi. He's your history. Well... Your recent present but kinda past." Ava sighed frustrated " I hate this. I hate him... Well I like him but. Argh"

Ava stood up and walked to her window, opened it and stared at the stars .

" Stars, stars, stars. I want to make a declaration... " Ava said defensively " I don't need you. You are not better than me. You may shine brighter than me and my life but trust me. I will never accept that you will protect me. " Ava sighed " my dad made me believe life was a fairy tale. And you stars lead us to that tale . But the truth is that you are nothing but useless " Ava closed her window.

Gosh she felt a little bit better. Letting out is actually a great way of expressing yourself. Even if it a star.

Ava went back to bed . She sighed, she knew she wasn't going to sleep.
