(Deja's p.o.v)
Saturday/ 9:30 - Monroe Reliance Insurance Company
I pushed the transparent double doors open, scanning the card and heading towards Dylan's office.
He sat there crisscrossed holding a blunt in his hand, his feet resting on the desk, the energy in the room felt tense.
"What's up?" I replied taking a seat on the opposite side of the desk, he had dipped the end of the blunt in the water and sat up straight, he removed his feet off the desk and turned to look at me.
"You know the guy Mateo?" he asked while I nodded my head.
"You mean the guy who runs the dealership?"
"Yes, him. I want to buy it from him. Since he Stole your car it seems."
"Well, we don't know that for sure..."
"Deja...the gun was stolen and cash, the last place someone said it was was at his dealership...or maybe you're too much of an i***t to even know not to leave your car door unlocked."
I sneered scrunching up my face. "So, we're going to buy off his company...?"
"Seth will, he'll help us out, we have him investing in their company, of course to make it bigger, but we'll slowly turn it into ours, Mateo just has to sign the contract..."
"Ah, I see where this is going."
"Also, I have an interview with a new member of the team tomorrow, so whatever meetings I have that afternoon I'm canceling..."
Dylan nodded his head getting up from his seat.
I had gotten up myself and started heading out the office, he walked alongside me and ran his fingers through his hair.
There was rummaging and the sounds of sneakers squeaking against the tiled floor.
"Get the f**k off me!" I heard a voice shout.
The few members had brung Mateo in holding him by the shoulders, blood was trickling down his nose, his eye was a bit bruised but I didn't pay too much attention to it.
"So..." I took a couple steps towards him and observed him for a couple more minutes.
"I heard my car was in your dealership?" I questioned, I could see the glint of fear in his eyes.
"Listen...I had no idea the car belonged to you." he replied I had scoffed scrunching up my face.
"Where's my car now...?' I questioned but he shifted his gazes, I could see the sweat dripping down his forehead.
"I...I sold it..."
Are you serious.
I started to grow frustrated, the road block making it more difficult to find my car and the person who had taken it.
"I sold it to a woman named Delina...I forgot her last name but she has your car..." He had inhaled at a very quick pace.
"Let him go" I demanded. The two men had dropped him on the ground harshly.
"Delina hm..." I tapped my chin, the name sounds familiar.
"Isn't that the woman who works with Westly...?" I asked looking Over at Dylan.
"I believe so..."
Me and Ryann have always felt the need to compete with one another, especially when it comes to business and trying to reach the top of the steak. She had outnumbered me with the amount of land and properties she owns around the area and within the state. Delina, I only met her once at a convention last year, she helps Wesley organize events.
I had looked at Mateo.
"I get it you didn't know but it was quite obvious it wasn't a piece of s**t and it belonged to someone..." I mumbled. "You Will track down Delina, and if not... well you know the deal"
"You have three weeks extra days tops..."
"But–how exactly am I supposed to track her..."
I chuckled, patting Dylan and a couple others.
"Don't worry they'll help you..." Was the last thing I said before walking off.
