Jade's POV
Monday comes too damn fast.
I sit beside Shawn on a couch with enough space between us for another person.
I notice it.
So does he.
Neither of us moves.
Dr. Bennett sits across from us while Dr. Reeves occupies the chair beside her. Apparently, for our first session, they've decided to work together.
Wonderful.
Double interrogation.
"How are you feeling?" Dr. Bennett asks.
"Nervous," I admit.
Shawn nods. "Same."
"That's normal. Today isn't about solving your marriage. We want to understand what each of you needs from the other and identify what you're actually trying to repair."
Sounds simple.

Dr. Reeves looks at Shawn.
