Jade's POV
"This feels weird."
Shawn looks across the restaurant table at me.
"What?"
"This."
I gesture between us.
"Dinner?"
"No. Dinner where we're apparently forbidden from discussing ninety percent of our lives."
His mouth twitches.
"Our daughter isn't ninety percent of our lives."
"Tell that to your mother."
He laughs.
I smile before I can stop myself.
It's Thursday night, and we're completing our therapy assignment.
No phones.
No baby planning.
No Kristal.
No affair.
Just Shawn and Jade.
Apparently, we have no idea who those people are anymore.
Our phones sit silenced inside my purse.
I pick up my water.

I narrow my eyes.
"Don't copy me."
"You said 'so.'"
"Find your own word."

I stare at him.
