At a young age, I was working to support my mother. A year before both my father and brother passed away in a car accident; due to heartbreak, my mother began to have seizures. Not long after an incident happened at work which caused her to get a disability. Everything was just fine until the number of bills racked up from taking her to the hospital. We were about to lose the house until I and my friend auditioned for modeling. Everything was supposed to be a joke, something to laugh about other than sulk. Just a day that takes the pain away. Who knew they would actually pick me? We had to move out of our town and go straight to L.A. Leaving was the worst part at the time. My best friend had ghosted me due to her not getting in. I kept telling her I wouldn't do it if she truly felt that way but all she did was spread lies and had a lot of people doubting and giving me hate. My mom had signed away my life without even talking to me about it. She had always told me we needed the money. But at what cost... Mom. Alex is the sister I have always wanted. She was there since I got signed as a model. She always wants the best for me. She is also my manager. Alex is the only one on this earth that I had talked to about my living situation before the fame. "This is your last screen time for a while, right?" Alex is five-nine with chocolate brown hair and big doughy eyes. when you look in her eyes you can see a fierce young woman ready to fight every battle that comes her way. "Yeah, I'm moving back home. I need a relaxer. My mind is filled with stress and booked appointments. I am going to miss you so much Lex" She stopped applying my blush and continued to stare at me. Alex said she would be taking care of her, that's the only reason I put a non-refundable down payment. Mom said she would hate for me to go back to Bayville but from what I remember before I left, everything like the season fall itself. Warm with a chill in the air, a place kids would walk to the park, and everyone would be safe. Everyone knew everyone. You could live freely with no worries about the dangers of the world. So, I told her that I have made up my mind. I need a break, from modeling to commercials to tv shows, I have made enough for my life. I didn't choose this life because I wanted it. Whether is your money or your body, to people in the real world you're an object unless you stick up for yourself, and tell me... I just roll with the punch. "She agreed to move to the outskirts of town so I will be living with her and be able to see you too, although the agency told me to scout out for some models or anyone that catches my eye" I nod my head as we begin walking to the scene. Thats a wrap, perfect ending." The director said and I huffed in relief. One more meeting and home sweet home. By how fast everything is going id be able to hit the road by seven. I grabbed a coffee and headed towards the blacked out 06 Lincoln navigator. Not a lot of paparazzi and fans knew the crew would be shooting today so that is a relief. "You've got a big meeting with Mr. Young. I believe it is very important, your mother made it for you so we must get going" another nod but no words, I was too stuck in my ongoing thoughts. It's been almost ten years since my mom has schedule anything for me what could this be for? We drive for at least forty-five minutes until we arrive. It's a huge building, "Ion company, hmm this company is known for the best technology in the country. What could you possibly do with them?" I agree with what Alex said, what has my mom got us into? Something feels off about this place, "Let's get this over with I'm starving." I say to Alex. We walk in the building and were greeted immediately. we were shown to the president office where we are currently waiting for further instructions. The doors open and my mother comes out smiling. "Ah yes. A beautiful young lady let's get down to business. "To move back to your hometown, you have to choose one out of two contracts. The townspeople don't fancy the idea of newcomers' especially ones of your status. They like their peace and all they see you as is unwanted attention. Now contract one states that you are to choose partner A to be living with, but you will have to work under her and keep a low profile. Under any circumstances do not go places you don't belong. Contract two states that are to choose partner B to live with. You will not need to work but you have to maintain your space. Buy your food and essentials. You can live your life without a job as long as you pull your weight. Again, don't go places you don't belong. You can read it over and hand it to either of the one you choose. As for your house that you put a down payment on is under construction for another seven months so if by then you have made a quiet life for yourself you can move in happily and if you change your mind in seven months you can sell it or rent it out it's all up to you. I'm totally shocked. All this to move back home. Really? "Come on let's go you have to pack" Mother rushes me out of the office into the elevator. "Honey it's a no-brainer. Contract A you could make more money and live the simple life you've wanted so much." my mother said with a grin on her face. I feel as though she planned this. payback for wanting to go back home. But if she has another thing coming if she's going to try and stop me from taking a vacation. "No Mom I have made my choice. Contract TWO will be ok. I can have the vacation I want. yup. Contract two" I whispered the last part. I'll play her game... But I'll play it my way.
