MASON POV:
As soon as the plane lands I’m bombarded by missed phone calls from Derek. I finally call him back and get the information he has been desperate to give me.
“You imbecile! How could you-“ I start to yell before I take a deep breath in and finish in a calmer but more threatening tone.
“Get her to the hospital, I’ll be there in 15.” I say before I end the call. I quickly hand everything off to Wayne and drive a rental car twice the speed limit to the hospital Derek said he was going to.
When I arrive, I see a doctor talking to Derek in regards to her wounds that were being dressed by a nurse.
“Don’t worry, although there are many wounds, they are not very deep. There is no concern for needing surgery and her life is not in danger, she simply lost consciousness from shock.
