Chapter 5Scott had loved the Italian restaurant that everybody just called The Italian’s ever since he was a kid. It was the kind of place that made every customer instantly feel like family. It served mostly pizza and spaghetti, which was about as authentic as anyone in Sunridge would go for. Scott, however, had a fondness for their handmade Tortellini alla Panna, and the chef, Luca, loved to cook for him, constantly teasing that Scott was, “Just too damn skinny for a boy that could eat like a true Italian.” The first thing Scott had done when he’d decided he was serious about buying the bar, outside of talking his dad into helping, was let Luca know.
