Chapter 6The pounding on the door of Lee’s room woke him from a sleep that felt as deep as death. It was not a welcome distraction.
“Okay, okay, I’m coming,” Lee yelled at the door. He yanked it open with a snarl. “Something better be on fire…” He immediately changed his tone when he saw Danny smiling at him. “Oh! Hey. Hi?”
Danny stepped back, pulled his sunglasses halfway off, and openly checked Lee out, toes to shoulders. “It’s almost two in the afternoon, how were you still sleeping? You were still sleeping, right? Or are you just really happy to see me?”
