Chapter 11
Val and the others did what they could, preparing the stronghold for what was soon to come and setting up for the battle to follow. Most of the others were off doing other missions and Val was watching the place with Henrik. The pair enjoyed having a little bit of time together. They worked through the night and during the day Henrik and Val lay in bed together. Though it was old, it was a nicer bed than Val was used to and more comfort than the pair had experienced in weeks.
They could not resist each other; the moment they were alone they embraced and were all over each other’s bodies. There were no words, there was no thought, and it was just pure emotion mixed with extreme desire. There was a time for things to be figured out and things to be faced but for that moment
