Lauren sat in her living room staring out at the bay where shadows danced along the water like spirits of the deceased. She knew what she had to do. Michael and Anya were right–she could be the one accused of killing her husband. She couldn"t bear this nightmare any longer. Michael had dropped her off on the peninsula so she could sneak home and pack to go to Mexico with him, but she would be gone by the time he returned. She planned to pilot her own boat to Guadalajara where Anya"s friends could arrange papers to get her to South America without being noticed.
