*Later on, after Cassie explained what was going on with her Mom to the ghosts.* "Ha, ha, ha!" Thor laughed. "This is amazing. The plan's working!" "Working? Thor, she ran off screaming! We've driven her insane!" Sassapis snapped. "Oh, what does it matter? Nothing matters." Isacc grumbled in quite a depressed tone. "What's up with soldier boy?" Alberta asked. "Isacc had me look up Alexander Hamilton on Jay's computer." Trevor informed the group. "His list of accomplishments was even greater than I could've imagined." Isacc sighed. "And then we looked up, Isacc." Trevor continued. *****Flashback******* "Graduated Dartmouth, died of dysentery..." Isacc read off of the screen. "That's it?! That's all it says??!!" He yelled whilst Trevor awkwardly stood watching. ******End*********** "I was mentioned in but one academic journal in a footnote. I'm literally a footnote in history!" Isacc pouted. "Well, Dartmouth is very good." Pete said. "Safe school." Trevor coughed. "You better get that fixed before it gets you killed." Cassie told Trevor, causing Trevor's grin to disappear quickly. "My life meant nothing, whereas my rival was known to this day. "There was even a musical about him!" "You really fixated on that musical thing." Trevor spoke. "Well, this might come as a shock to you since you see me as this tough military type." Isacc said solemnly as the other ghosts remained silent, letting him have this. "But, musical theatre is actually a passion of mine." lsacc sighed as he flopped back onto the armchair. "You understand what a musical is, but you still don't get what a movie is? What the hell?" Cassie questioned from her spot on the floor. ******************** *On the way home from the hospital in the car.* "I'm just saying maybe we should've just stuck around for a little while. Heard her out. Maybe have done the MRI." Jay advised as he stopped at a red light. "There's no point. They're not gonna find anything because I now know there's nothing wrong with me!" Sam smiled. "Okay, but the doctor said - " "That was the living doctor! Of course, she thinks I'm delusional! She's not trained for this! But the ghost doctor - " "OK, that's where you start to lose me." "If that's ghosts were all in my head, I'd be seeing the same ones at the hospital as I do back at the house. But they're not!" Sam explained with a wide smile. "I see different ones in different places! Like that guy! Hey bud!" Sam said, pointing out of the window to a former builder who had a part of iron frame impaled into his chest. Sam waved to him, and he waved back with a cheery smile. "What guy?" Jay asked while looking out of the window, seeing no one on the sidewalk. "I know it's not great news, but at least I'm not crazy. I just wish we had realised this whole thing was an actual possible when our daughter could first see them. I feel horrible now with saying it was just all in her head. She probably felt like a freak." "Hey, we didn't know anything about it at the time." Jay consoled her. "She doesn't hate us anyway, I know that much." The light finally turned green, and Jay started driving again. Sam looked back at the road, spotting an elderly couple. She yelled, "No, no, JAY, LOOK OUT!" Jay immediately stopped the car, thinking something was seriously wrong. Sam looked, put the back window, and let out a sigh of relief. "Phew, they were already dead. Sorry." "What?" "Just drive." "I can't, I can't!" Jay spoke as he began to drive once again. "By the way, Damien's staying over tonight." "Oh yay!! I love that kid." Sam smiled. "That makes one of us." ************************* Once they pulled up to the house, Jay stopped the car and turned to face Sam. "Listen, I know this is a lot, but I'm with you. No matter what, in sickness and in health. OK? Because I love you." "Aww!" Pete cooed from the backseat that he had somehow climbed into without Sam noticing, causing her to jump. "He's a keeper." "Hold that thought." Sam said as she unbuckled her seat belt and opened the car door, walking up to the house. "What was that? Sam?" Jay called. "Sam?" Pete also called. "Sam??!!" The duo called in unison. "Hold on!" Jay said, unbuckling his seat belt and opening the door to catch up with his wife. "Sam? Sam! Was there one in the car?!" He questioned, peering back into the car to see if there was any trace of one. "Sam, was there one in the car?!!" Jay asked, now fully alarmed and jogging over to her. ********************* *Inside* "She's coming! Here she comes!" Pete warned the others as the three entered the living room to see Flower dancing while the rest chatted. Hetty was the first when to spot them and said, "Ooh!" This alerted the others, their heads all snapping towards the doorway. "Welcome back! Again!" Damien welcomed. "Okay, FINE!" Sam said quite loudly, causing Damien to shut his mouth and attempt to hide behind Cassie, to which she rolled her eyes. "I see all of you. I admit your existence! HAPPY?!" "I mean, what is happy?" Isacc said, still deflated about the Hamilton debacle whilst the others cheered and expressed their happiness. "Great. But this is our house now!" Sam told the ghosts. "We inherited it, so it is time for you all to leave. It has been nice to meet you, thank you. But you can go haunt someone else now." The teens and ghosts stared at Sam before they all let out a hysterical laugh. "She's funny too!" Trevor exclaimed. "Girl, we can't leave!" Alberta informed her as the room began to calm. "Yeah, you just sort of stay where you die." Thor said. "And how you die!" Flower added, turning to show her deeply wounded shoulder. "It's your classic haunted house." Pete confirmed from behind Sam. "It's Old House 101 Mom. You of all people should know this." Cassie spoke, thinking back to the first day when Sam was burning sage. "So it seems it's the two of you who should leave. Thank you kindly." Hetty spoke. "Ahem." Cassie coughed, gesturing to herself, causing Hetty to look at the girl. "Three of us came up here!" "Oh no, you can stay. I like you." "Aww. Thank you so much." Cassie cooed. "That's not happening! We've already sunk all our money into this place. Plus, I see dead people wherever I go, so leaving doesn't even help me." Sam told the ghosts. "Yeah, New York's a b*tch when it comes to seeing ghosts." Cassie agreed. "Okay, I'm back to freaked out again!" Jay said. "Babe, just a second. It seems like we're stuck with each other. But it is not gonna go on like this with all of you up in my face all of the time! So what is it gonna take for you to leave me alone, huh? What do you want?" Sam asked the group. "You! Viking guy! What do you want?" Sam asked Thor. "I want to see my people in the magic box once a day!" Thor responded. "......What?" "He wants to watch a show about vikings on TV." Pete translated for Sam. "Fine." Sam accepted. "Yes!!" Thor cheered. "You! Wolf of Wall Street!" She called, causing Trevor's attention to go to her. "What do you want?" "Leave him, kill yourself, become a ghost, and get with me. But let's keep it casual." "Gross." The Arondekar girls grimaced. "What'd he say?" Jay asked. "You!" Sam pointed to Isacc, who stood from his spot on the couch. "I heard you were a writer. I'd like you to pen my biography so that history may know my name." "That is actually quite interesting." Sam admitted. "And then take that book and adapt it into an award winning Broadway Musical." Isacc finished, sitting down. Damien whistled to mimick a missile, then made an explosion noise, causing Cassie to chuckle. The pair was silenced when Isacc glared at them both. Alberta then stood up with her edemand. "I want you to invite the descendants of the ten most likely suspects if my m*rder to a dinner party. Find out who did it and exact revenge." Sam let out a short laugh before answering, "No. Uh, you! Woodstock! What do you want?" "Woodstock?" Jay questioned, completely lost. "Oh, I'm easy, just world peace." Flower responded. "And end to bear attacks." "Sure. You! Downton Abbey?" "Take down that painting of my awful husband. And patch up the hole your awful husband put in my wall." Hetty demanded, causing Damien and Cassie to snicker at Jay's new nickname. "He's not awful when you get to know him." Sam told Hetty, attempting to stand up for Jay. "Wait a minute - " "You next!" "I'd like the entire Hudson Valley returned to the Lenape." Sassapis ordered. "Baring that, maybe keep the radio on in the afternoons?" "That's a good one! That's a good one." Trevor agreed. "Get some beats in here. Love to dance." Pete also agreed. "Okay! So that is everybody." "Ahem." Pete coughed, catching Sam's attention. "Oh! What about you?" Sam asked. "I just wanted to say hi." Pete said as Jay began looking in the hallway to see where abouts the ghost was. "And welcome!" "Hi!" Sam said. "Welcome!" Pete greeted. "Wow." Sam smiled. "So, everyone feeling good?" "I'm pretty far from good." Jay said, raising his hand slightly. "Dad, it's not school! Put your hand down!" "Ah, my husband still thinks I'm nuts. I'm sorry about that Cass." "What?" "You've been able to see ghosts for so long, and yet we ignored you. We're sorry." Sam apologised. "Mom, it's fine. I'm just glad I've got someone to talk to about it." "Hey!" Damien yelled. "Okay, two people to talk to about it. Happy?" She asked Damien. "Better." He replied, to which Cassie rolled her eyes again. "Y'know what?" Sam said, having an idea. "Come with me." She ordered Jay, walking out of the room. Jay slowly started to follow, but not before he put two fingers close to his eyes, then pointed them at the room, which to his knowledge was mostly empty, then following Sam.
