Maya was busy tending to her son, Clinton, when her phone rang. She rushed to grab it from where she had left it. Seeing that the caller's number was unknown, she hesitated for a moment before she answered the call. "Hello?" she said hesitantly. "Congratulations! Maya Smith, you passed the interview, you can check your mail to see the details" The CEO's personal assistant said and hung up the call. Maya's heart skipped a beat at the news. "Maya, your work has been phenomenal," Emmanuel said, giving her a warm smile. "The CEO will be very pleased to see how much you've accomplished in such a short time." Maya felt a wave of pride at his words. "Thank you, Emmanuel. I just want to do my best for the company." *Weeks After* Maya was at the office when Emmanuel knocked on the door. "Obviously fine" "Anyways I want to tell you that the CEO is around and he would like to see you "Oh! Good, how should I address him?" "Mr. Jonathan Anderson" "What? Hmm" She thought about the name, the guy she once had a one night stand with. Maya's heart dropped. The name echoed in her mind like a distant memory, but she couldn't deny the connection. She took a moment to compose herself before responding. "Thank you Emmanuel, I'll go there now" Maya said and they both left the office.
