Chapter Four: Confession Night and Morning Realities

As we went into his room, he showed me a very decorative room

"This is where you should sleep"

*Aww... this is so nice, were you expecting me before? Because how can you..."

"No dear, have a nice rest, if you need anything you can let me know"

"Alright" Maya said and went inside the room, Jonathan left to his room.

Maya stared at the room, the room was adorned with vibrant tapestries that hung from the walls. The floors were covered in plush rugs that felt soft and inviting underfoot, and the bed was draped in luxurious satin sheets, inviting Maya to take a rest.

Maya sat down on the bed and later she lied down, she could not stop thinking about the night, from the dinner to the kiss. She was wondering about how Jonathan had made her love him.

"Maya, why are you thinking about him, why? But you promised yourself not to fall in love, not even to your baby's father" Maya said to herself.

Maya tried closing her eyes so she could sleep, but she was not able to sleep. All she could think was the kiss, and now she misses Jonathan beside her

"I miss Jonathan, why do I have to fall in love with him in less than twenty four hours, well to be sincere, he's my spec, he's cute, charming, kind, tall, he's so..." Maya said, before she snapped out.

After an hour, she decided to fall asleep and she was not able to, so she decided to go to his room. She already took off her gown, just remaining short and a singlet.

She went to the room beside her, when she opened the door, nobody was inside. She knocked at the second door. Then she heard "Come In"

When Jonathan sees her with the dress, he is surprised.

Jonathan was taken aback by the appearance of Maya.

"I could not sleep" Maya said as he walked towards her.

"I miss you too Maya, I was just reminiscing how tonight went"

"Same here"

"Hmmm" Jonathan said, "I don't know how to say it Maya, you are really special, I love you..."

"Hmm, it's actually weird how I developed feelings for you in less than twenty four hours, I don't know, but I think I still need time to think about this well"

“I know this is all moving fast, but I want you to know that my feelings for you are genuine. I’ll give you all the time you need, but I’m not going anywhere.”

"Thank you, Jonathan. I don't want to rush into anything either, but I can't deny how I feel when I'm with you. For now, can we just enjoy the night together, without any expectations or promises?"

Jonathan nodded and made her sleep at the left hand side of the bed, while he slept on the right hand side. He used his hand and wrapped her against her waist as they slept off.

Maya woke up first and when she would check the time it was 7:30am.

"Jonathan, Jonathan, it's late already, we are going to work"

Jonathan stretched his body and yawned as he woke up

"Good Morning, pretty"

"Good Morning darling, it's late

"oh! Aren't you stressed if you are stressed Maya, you can just take today as off, I'll take care of it"

"Oh! No, I need to go home and change, I need to be at work before 9am"

"No, I can just order one of my maids.to get you an official wear instead of going home to take your dress, that would be stressful"

Maya hesitated for a moment but then realized Jonathan had a point. It would save her time and energy if she accepted the offer. "Alright, thank you so much for your help. I really appreciate it," she said with a grateful smile.

Jonathan nodded, and quickly made a call, instructing one of the maids to bring a suitable outfit for Maya.

While the maid was preparing the outfit. Jonathan went to the bathroom while she provided Maya a towel to wrap herself in.

He bathed and later, she went to the bathroom to bathe also.

After some minutes, Jonathan emerged himself from the bathroom and he dressed up.

Maya went to the bathroom too.

The maid came out with an official outfit and she put it on.

Maya came out from the bathroom and saw that Jonathan was already dressed up.

The maid came and then gave Maya her cloth. Maya dressed up and the cloth was revealing her shape, Jonathan was not satisfied with it.

“You mean it's not only me that gets to see this shape… oh! Sorry, where's she, she should come and change this”

“Huh! Just for today, we are late for work, we don't have much time to spend” She said, she took the handbag that came along with the cloth, and she wore a moderate heel.

They held each other as they stepped out of the house, to the compound. They entered the car and the driver drove them to the company.

When they stepped out of the car, people were surprised to see the both of them together.

Upon arriving at the company, it was evident that their arrival together had caused a stir among the staff. As they exited the car, Maya noticed Emmanuel, the assistant of Jonathan , smiling knowingly. She couldn't help but wonder what people might be thinking about her and Jonathan's joint appearance.

Maya went straight to her office, meanwhile Emmanuel followed Jonathan to his office.

“Good Morning, I am sure your night went well” Emmanuel teased.

“You were sure or you suggested? I don't get”

“I could see that all over you, how was your night with Maya?” He asked, jokingly.

“It's just a coincidence and nothing more” Emmanuel said, trying to act serious

“Oh! A coincidence,ooh! But you two used same perfume”

Emmanuel burst into laughter knowing that he already knew.

“Actually, I can't say but somehow I am falling in love my accountant”
