CHAPTER FOURTEENfive hours later… When Fear came through the door he found Eureka and Anton sitting at the kitchen table. He took off his trench coat and hung it on the coat stand. “You took care of that?” Eureka asked. “Yeah,” he nodded. “Your mother?” “I took her to the hospital. She’ll walk with a limp the rest of her life and her hand is permanently disfigured but she’ll be all right.” “Where is she?” “She’s upstairs asleep.
