CHAPTER FIFTEEN Hearing muffled voices and shuffling at the trunk, Eureka squirmed around trying to work her wrists free from their bondages. Realizing her efforts were futile, she grew still. Right after the trunk was lifted open, a blinding light illuminated, stinging her eyes. She narrowed her eyes and turned her head away from the bright illumination. A familiar chuckling brought her head back around. She peered closely and when she made out the face staring down at her, her heart dropped. She was wide eyed at first but then her eyebrows arched and formed a scowl. “My, oh my, aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?” Malvo smiled wickedly and blew out smoke. He dropped his cigarette on the ground and mashed it out under his Timberland boot. He then grabbed her by the bondages of her wrists
