CHAPTER SEVENTEENOne month later…
Malvo’s eyes peeled open and blinked under the bright lights in the ceiling. The first thing he heard was the heart monitor’s beeps and several other machines at work. Feeling something over his nose and mouth, he pulled it off and discovered it was an oxygen mask. That’s when he looked to his arm and found an IV. He felt where his ear once was and discovered that it had been patched and taped down. Malvo looked down and noticed he was draped in a hospital gown. He lifted the gown up and saw that he was nude underneath. His quick scan of the surroundings brought him to the conclusion he was inside of someone’s bedroom.
