The First Queen

Chapter 2

My mate was coming. I could hear the whispers from the pack members. I felt a warm hand on my shoulder and looked over to my mother. She was smiling while looking at the Beta of the Blue Crescent Pack.

'You know, we do have to meet seven other packs today before dark. Why don't you have the Alpha come to the castle tomorrow night for a nice supper. Since we have to announce that the Queen to be has found her mate.' I heard my mother say through our mind link. I sighed and nodded. I wanted nothing more than to wait for my mate but duty calls.

" Tell the Alpha that you are all to attend a formal supper at the castle tomorrow evening at seven sharp. I would not be leaving if we did not have seven other packs to meet and greet with. Please bid a farewell to your Alpha for us." I said as I waved and walked back towards the car. I felt a large hand grab mine as I almost reached the car door where Henry our driver was waiting. I turned my head and looked up into the most beautiful ocean blue eyes. The sent of burning wood and cinnamon filled my nose and I breathed deeply. The sparks were like a dull flame that had my whole body on fire, but in a good way. He had dark blonde hair with a defined jaw. His lips were nice and full. My wolf was howling in the back of my mind.

" Trying to run before I could get here, little princess?" My mate said, his voice was deep and made my insides like putty. He smirked at me and I couldn't do anything but stand there dumbfounded.

‘Genevieve, if you don't talk to that man I'm gonna knock you out!’ Leila screamed through the mind link. Shaking my head, I stood up straight and smiled my million dollar smile and removed his hand from mine.

" Of course not, Alpha. Pardon my informality, I still don't know your name." I said, still smiling. I heard his breath catch when I smiled at him. His eyes turned bright blue then back to his normal blue color. He was fighting his wolf to remain calm in front of my mother.

" Kace, Kace Moon and you are Genevieve the oldest princess to the late Alpha King Alford and Alpha Queen Cordelia. You are the next in line to the throne. But honestly, I do not plan to give up my pack or my freedom to be mated to a stuck up Queen to be. Furthermore, what kind of Queen to be comes to meet packs dressed like the average omega w***e trying to climb her way into a position of ranking? Besides, I thought Queens were supposed to be slim and not fat." Kace said sneering his face at the end. The pain that engulfed my chest was unimaginable. There were loud gasps throughout Kace's pack. Looks of shock and anger towards their Alpha but no one dared to say anything against him. No one but myself.

" How dare-" My mother started, but I held up my hand to stop her. My sister looked like she was ready to throw some deadly punches.

" Well Kace, if that is really how you feel then maybe you are right. I personally do not think you would be man enough to sit by my side either way. Any 'Alpha' if you can even dare say that is what you are, would be stupid to ever dare to talk to their future Queen that way. Mate-" I sneered, making a face, " Or not. Now because I will need your warriors in the event a war was to arise, I won't strip you of your title. However don't think that I will ever forget what was said." I said, turning to our driver nodding my head for him to open my door.

" Well, I don't think it would be a good idea for my pack and I to attend your supper tomorrow." Kace said, staring at some hoeish red head in the packs crowd.

" As for the supper at the castle, it is not an invitation nor a request. It is now a full command. As the Alpha Queen to be my commands are not to be ignored. Your pathetic little Alpha commands are not equal to mine. You will attend with your pack or your title as Alpha will be stripped." I said using my Alpha tone. I could visibly see his body stiffen, indicating that he felt the power of my tone. " Oh and as for the 'omega red headed w***e' you can't seem to keep your eyes off of, she is not welcomed into my castle. If I see her there, I'll personally see to it that she dies at the hand of our best warrior. You wanted to act big and bad, well I'm going to show you just how far that will get you with me pup." I said, flipping my hair over my shoulder. I caught the glimpse of the fear in the red headed she wolfs eyes. Laughing and shaking my head I got into the car and Henry shut the door and half ran to the other side to open the door to let my mother and sister in. Henry shut their door and got in and started the limo.

" Vivi, are you ok?" My mother asked, I hadn't been called Vivi since my father died. Holding my hand up and shaking my head I took a shaky breath I stared at Kace through the windshield. His head hung low and his pack staring at the limousine in shock of what had just happened between the two of us. As we started backing out of the driveway, Kace's head snapped up and I stared at his face. Pure regret was all I could see. The rest of the day seemed to drag by. I had mingled for a hour with each pack and their Alphas. When we finally got back to the castle I didn't even wait for Henry to open my door. I threw my door open and snatched my heels off and started running to the castle. I could feel the sting of tears burning my eyes. I knew I couldn't hold them back any longer.

' Genevieve, please don't lock yourself in-' My mother and sister started through mind link, but I couldn't face them right now. I blocked them out of my mind. My heart broke even more with the thought that my mate didn't want me. When I reached my room I slammed the thick hardwood door and turned the three locks. Sliding down the door to the floor I let the sob I'd been holding back all day out. I wrapped my arms around my knees and rocked back and forth on the floor. Why was I so stupid? How could I have thought he would want me?

I can't believe he said that to us. Why doesn't he want us? Ariel my wolf asked, sounding broken.

I don't know. I really don't, but I know we have to see him tomorrow. Wanna have fun with it? I asked her back. Sending her images of us getting all dressed up as a Queen to be. Beautiful dark blue dress, matching heels, matching jewelry and crown.

Yes! Make him see what he's missing! Ariel yipped, sending me images of dancing with other males. Making his wolf upset with him.

Then it's settled. He's not going to know what hit him. I smirked, standing up and walking to my bathroom and stripping my clothes off and turning the shower on and stepping in. I stayed in until I stopped crying, turning the shower off and grabbing the yellow fluffy towel on the towel rack I wrapped it around me and walked out of the bathroom and into my walk-in closet. I grabbed a dark blue lacey bra and matching thong and put them on. I grabbed my favorite long flowy night gown and slipped it on and walked over to my bed and climbed in. Sighing I reached over and turned the light on the night stand off. Closing my eyes I felt a stray tear run down my cheek before I drifted off into a dreamless night of sleep.
