Chasing my Omega Luna

*Olivia’s POV I had my eyes closed, just because I didn’t want to wake up, but I was awake a long time ago. It was my birthday, my 15th birthday. The reason I didn’t want to get out of bed was because I knew I had training and they’d make me run 15 miles for my special day, so I was trying to avoid it. But that is what it is. I got up and went to wash my face. I put on some leggings and a sports bra. Before I left my room, I decided I needed to wear something else, so I just threw a crop shirt over me. I went downstairs, just to meet my dad and mom with a big sign of “Happy Birthday” hung over the kitchen table, they were adorable. “Hi, Mom and Dad, good morning,” I said, smiling like a child at the surprise. “My baby is now 15, I can’t believe it, can you believe it, John?” My mom asked my dad with tears flooding her eyes. My dad just laughed at the reaction from me. “Don’t be so dramatic, Chiara, happy birthday darling, we are so happy you’re old enough” he said, hugging me, bear style. He loved it, and so do I. I went to the kitchen table to have breakfast and, to be honest, I wanted to open my presents. There was an intriguing box. “Oli, you know how important it is for our family on this day. From now on, you can start using your powers a little bit. You know that you won't get the full experience until you’re 18, but still. This comes with a lot of responsibility. We know you’ve been working on it your entire life” said Dad, looking at me and back to my mom. Well, you see, I’m a healer wolf, so I can heal people when they are hurt. I can even help someone that is just about to die. It’s scary, I know, but I’ve been preparing. Being a healer wolf comes with a lot. If you’re not properly prepared, you could die helping someone and after you use your powers you get extremely exhausted, so you must be in the best shape. Being a healer wolf is super rare, and what is rare is that my mother is one too. “Yes, Dad, I know, I’m ready to take it and I want to help everyone I can. I was born for this” I said, smiling way too much. “I’m so proud of you, my little flower. You have become a great woman, you are always kind, trying to find a way to help everyone around you. I love you baby” said my mom, with tears again. She can be too sensitive sometimes. “Okay, okay, open your presents, you’ll love them”. My family and I usually do a little gift opening in the morning, just the three of us, and at night my mom will host a party for me and my friends to celebrate. I opened the little box that I assumed was jewelry. I was right, my mom had gotten me a BEAUTIFUL, spectacular, necklace with a star on it. My dad was simpler but always right. He got me my favorite perfume, Black Opium. Then, I went to the box I wanted. It was white and had a green bow on it. I gently opened it and saw the most amazing thing, a silver bracelet, with two amazing charms, one of a wolf and one with an H, that indicated “healer”. I loved it. “Ohh myyyy, thanks Mom and dad, this is beautiful, I love it, it's amazing!!” I almost screamed while I put it on. We all had breakfast while we chatted about silly things and the last-minute preparations for tonight. My dad and I left the house and went to the training track, where everyone was already there. My dad is Beta, but he's also the brother of Alpha Sam, my uncle. He’s the oldest one, so that's why he got to be the Alpha and not my dad, but I’m glad it was like that. This way, my dad was able to travel around the world and meet my mom in Italy, her home country. They were instant mates. I loved their relationship, and they taught me how to cherish the mate bond. Like I thought they made me run 15 miles for my birthday, but it was fine after all. My cousin Alex was with me, so it was nice. We sparred a little bit and did some lift training, but overall, it was cardio. I was exhausted after nearly two hours of training. What was wrong with these people? I sat with some of my friends waiting for our snacks to be served. Lara came with a tray with protein shakes and bowls. “Thanks, Lara, this looks amazing,” I said, while everyone else just stared at the food. “You’re welcome. Oli. I’m super excited about your party tonight. I’m wearing the dress you got for me on my birthday last month”, with that she just left and went back to the kitchen. Lara was one of my best friends, she was an omega, but it didn’t matter. In my pack we took rank very seriously in some cases, like meetings and events but besides that, was like everyone was the same rank. I went back home to find my mom hanging some lights in the garden, she was already preparing everything. I went to my room quickly and took a long bath. I even had a hair treatment. I was all lost in my thoughts when my phone started ringing, it was my dad, “Hello Dad, what’s up?” I said. “Hello darling, I need you. In two hours, the Alpha of the Moonstone Pack is coming just for a quick matter, and I need you to be with me. Can you please give me a little space on your birthday agenda?” He pleaded, and I laughed, he knew I would say yes. “Of course, Daddy, I’ll get ready and meet you in the pack house”. “Love you baby Oli”, then he hung up. I hated that nickname. I started to get ready. I let my hair dry a little bit before I styled it. I was all for a white dress and a pair of Nike pairs. I loved wearing sneakers. I was ready about thirteen minutes before I had to be there, so I just went to the pack house to check things over there. “Hey darling, just for you to know, I won't be needing you anymore. Alex is coming to greet them with me. I asked him so you wouldn’t have to do it”, my dad said, smiling. Oh, what a waste of my time. “OK Dad, so I’m going to get going and help mom with the preparations”. I went to the kitchen to meet up with Lara. She said she would bake the cake for tonight. She was an amazing baker, and everything always came up delicious. I was there about an hour when I realized I was going to help Mom, so I rushed out of the kitchen when I got a sniff of my favorite smell, the ocean. It was weird, it was faint, but still there. I just ignored it and went back to my house. The rest of the day went normally, helping my mom, getting texts from my friend and my family from Italy even FaceTimed them for like an hour while my mom finished everything. I was so happy, everything was going to be perfect. At 7 pm, everyone was starting to arrive, and I was at the door with both my parents greeting everyone. All my friends, Molly, Susan, Lara, Nick, Kent, and my family, uncle Sam, aunt Thara, and my two cousins, Alex and Wyatt, the Gamma Brenton with his family too. We all started to chat around and take pictures. It was a beautiful setting, worth the photos. I got pictures of everyone, and, with my Polaroid, I got one from everyone to put on my wall. I was so happy, everyone that I love is there. I couldn’t ask for anything else in the world. A week after I woke up to the worst feeling in the world with I had a lump in my throat like something was about to happen, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I saw the time on my phone, it was 3 a.m. What's wrong with me? I rolled over to the other side of my bed to see if I could fall again, when I heard my mom screaming my name from downstairs. I almost threw myself upstairs. I was down in seconds, my mom was a crying mess, she was so worried. “My baby, please, please, promise me, no matter what happens or what someone does to you, you won't reveal who you are, you must be very careful with your powers, just reveal them to someone you can trust in your life. Please, please my love,” Why, was she making me promise this “Your bracelet, baby, when it has the H on it, will hide your powers, please wear it always. I love you with all my heart,” said my mom. Where the f*ck was my dad?? At that point, I was crying too. To my relief, my dad entered the room, with blood all over him, looking for us. “Baby, you have to get safe, please, we love you more than anything in the world, be safe, please” he pleaded, kissing my mom and me. “But I can heal you Dad, please, why is my mom doing it??” I cried, why wasn't my mom helping my dad or the pack??? “Darling, we are hiding our powers, they know what I am, they want my powers, that’s why I rather die than help people like that, they don’t know you’re like me, that’s why you have to hide it!!!!” WHO THE F*CK WERE THEY, I was sobbing uncontrollably. “Baby, you must run, RUN!! They can’t relate to you. Please leave, we love you and you’re the bravest and most kind girl in the world, but please!!!” My mom shouted at me, giving me a sad little smile. I will remember it forever. I did what I was told, and went out through the kitchen door, and started running. I hid behind a tree near my house, but close to the pack house. I covered my mouth so nobody could hear me. I saw how a few big wolves came into my house and dragged my mom and dad outside to the backyard. My dad immediately shifted and stood in front of my mom. I could feel the tears coming out of my eyes, but I couldn’t stop them. A large grey wolf attacked my dad, knocking him to the ground, just when he was going to bite him by the neck and kill him, my mom quickly stood up, receiving all the impact, dying almost immediately. The wolf shifted back and kneeled next to the lifeless body of my mom and started cursing and yelling. They couldn’t get her. Another wolf came from behind my dad and snapped him on the head, making him lose his balance. Then, like it was nothing, a large black wolf bit his neck and killed him. Right there, my family just got murdered in front of me. I didn’t know what to do, so I ran to the pack house to escape. Maybe someone was alive, and we could escape. I was terrified when I saw that everything was torn down, and everyone was dead. I hid behind a sofa and started crying again. My sobs were silent, but I could feel my heart shattered into a million pieces. “I got one here, she’s a little pretty girl”, said someone who was standing behind me. I may have lost consciousness because I don’t remember anything else, just waking up in some kind of dirty trailer. *Max’s POV We have been on the road for almost two months now. I’m exhausted. But as I’m taking the pack over in a month, I must know everything that is going on with the other packs, because we are the most powerful pack in the States, and kind of control the other ones. My dad was very excited about this last pack, he was talking and talking about Blue Moon like it was his mate. I laughed at him. He looked at me with such a serious face I was scared. “You know how important this pack is for us. It may be small, but we must keep them by our side” he said, looking out the windows of our car. I knew they were important. The rumors say that they have two healer wolves. I’ve read a lot about them. They’re fascinating. So, I just smiled at my dad and kept hearing him talking about the important business of this pack. Of course, we didn’t know who the healer wolves were. Those are VERY rare and super powerful, so when packs have them, they keep them as a secret, for their protection. We pulled into a beautiful driveway with trees surrounding us. We got out of the car and were greeted by two men, the Beta, and the Alpha’s son. They were super nice and attentive, they gave us a little tour before we went to the meeting with the Alpha. After an hour or so, I was getting hungry, so I asked if we could get a few minutes' break so I could get something to eat. They all agreed with me. Alex, the youngest man, the Alpha’s son, went with me down to the kitchen so we could eat something. We were sitting on the sofa when I caught the most enchanting scent of my life. It smelled like rain and the forest, it hit me, my mate was here, SHE WAS HERE. A smile ran along my lips, and I looked around looking for the person irradiating this smell. Then I saw the most amazing, beautiful girl in the whole world. Well, her back. I couldn’t see her face. I tried to calm down and started to walk up to her when my dad's mind was linked to me. “We must go NOW. There was a rogue's attack in the pack. Come on.” Sh*t, amazing. I knew my pack was above everything at that moment, so I went outside to the driveway to meet my dad and we shifted as we ran towards Moonstone again. “You ass*ole, why didn't you run after her??” Apolo was shouting inside my head, making everything worse. “You know why, stop complaining, we will come back when everything is settled down and we’ll take her with us,” I said, ignoring him.
