CHAPTER 5 JACOBS POV

Me and Kai have been sat in this room for the last four days watching her taking in turns keeping an eye on her. I have no clue why I'm getting involved or why I still want her in my room me and kai have had heated discussions over it but I have no clue a Zeus s not spoke to me one bit and that weird because the mut always has something to say. for some unknown reason I feel it in my gut I need to protect her not much has changed in the last four days we know she has werewolves' genes we can see it in her blood and kai her own identical twin brother is a powerful wolf with extra abilities so there is no way she is just human. "Kai ill watch her tonight you did last night go back to the spare room and I'll call you if anything changes alright?" "Yeah, ok man just let me know link me straight away" I have never seen my best friend my brother be so broken "of course man just remember to stay on the floor so I don't have to grant you access again" I tried lighting up the mood but it did not work as he responded with a quick nod a sad smile at his sister before heading out the door.

Right time to get some sleep I'm exhausted from this last week and know as soon as my head hits the pillow, I'll be a goner. Its bit weird sleeping next to a woman that has breathing tubes and a monitor beeping 24/7 but I kind of got used to it and I been falling asleep much quicker just as I was about to fall asleep my hand brushed her arm and I felt tingles only faintly but enough to notice I also felt Zeus come forward little before retreating again *what is it with you?...are you there or are you dead?"I mocked but got no response so gave up at went to sleep.

I start dreaming of the same thing as before the field the kids the rabbit run past the rogues but this time, I start moving fast with them trying to figure out what is going on. as I'm walking in between these two rogues they start speaking to one another " I don't even know why so many of us had to come its only one f*****g family" the lanky ginger one said to the other "f**k knows mate that f*****g Alpha is so weak" what alpha I struggle to understand what they are saying with the stench of the rotting flesh that comes from them.

Ima woken by the heart monitor racing. "s**t" *Helen quick the monitors beating really f*****g fast* *on my way* she responds before closing the link I look over and see Alyssia eyes wild open *shhh your safe the doctors coming ok stay still and we will get the tube out" I tell her and she looks at me with pure terror in her eyes I touch her hand to relax her but pull away as I feel them tingles so much stronger now it shocks me *mate* Zeus whispers but I can't even process what he says as the doctor rushes in "Shes awake?" "Yes, I woke up to that thing" I tell her "Hello miss moon I'm doctor Helen I'm going to take this tube out of your mouth now if that alright with you" Alyssia nods " ok now I want you to relax and exhale as I pull it out" just then she pulls the tube out and Alyssia starts coughing uncontrollably "is she ok? I asked panicked " yes that normal don't talk now sweet as your throat will be very sore would you like some water?" Alyssia just nods and Helen looks at me like Shes telling me something "right water I'll get it" I get up and go fetch a bottle of water from the fridge in my room. And hand it to her.

she sips it gently before the doctor talks again " welcome back we been so worried I'm doctor Helen and this is Alpha Jacob you are safe here no one will hurt you I promise" Alyssia looks around the room slowly before seeing her little rabbit in the corner on her make shift bed I got her well I think it's a her it looks girly to me. she slightly relaxes. " Right, I'm just going to take your blood pressure and other vitals before letting you rest, ok?" "Alpha could you leave the room a moment ill call if I need you" "I don't mind staying" I tell Helen *alpha please could you leave for second it might let her relax for a moment and can you go tell kai the news but please tell him to not come in tonight we will break the news to her in the morning*she links me which makes scenes as much as I really don't want to leave I get up and head for the door "I'll be back as soon as you're done " and I turn and leave to head to kails room.

I opened the door and see kai sat in the bed "what's wrong how's my sister "but I interrupt "Shes fine she actually just woke up"

he jumped up and went to go straight for the door before I stopped him " you can't go in there one I got kicked out by the doctor two Helen said its best for you to wait till the morning before seeing her" "THE HELL I WILL THATS MY f*****g SISTER!" he yells as me " yes kai but for all she knows your dead so we don't want to give her such big news soon as Shes awake" I explain and he starts to calm down. "Right ok but I want to see her tomorrow do you understand me?" he says with a stern tone being an alpha I hate being spoken to like that but I understand where he is coming from so, I let it slide this time.
