New Start

Lilly’s POV

This month has gone by with a blast. The school I entered is a magnet school for arts and almost everyone here appreciates everyone else’s creative mindsets. Of course I do core classes for business on the side, but I am happy to be here. Work is good as well too. Mr.Wyatt even lets me stay in the business center after work to do my homework. I cut my hair and changed it’s color just in case. And I wear different color contacts. That way no one can really really not find me.  

When I do have off days for school and work it's on the weekends. During that time I finally get to relax and enjoy myself. With the new job in two weeks I was able to buy my own car. By next month I can pay rent in advance and all my bills. 

I look into the books I brought back with me and see the one I need. I made sure I checked out a few books on how to hide myself from the magic world so that no one can find me. I want to call Danny so bad but I know he will come and make me go back or leave there and stay here with me. I don’t want him to be burdened by me. I actually learned alot about witches in this book and researched why I didn't have any powers in the first place. 

From what I got, it looks like the date I was born was on a solstice eclipse, something like that and it hovered powers, whatever that means. I’m not going to look into it that much but it still interests me. Maybe one day I will know why the most powerful witches in this world had a kid with no powers. 

Mr. Cruz Wyatt’s POV

“Aunty, thank you for sending Lilly over. She has done such a great job and is very respectful in the office.” I say to Aunty Donna

“You’re very welcome. She did such a good job here and knew she had potential there.” she says back to me 

“I also sent her there since I have no children and this past few months she has become like a niece to me and I care for her well being. I want her to grow in life and have a good future. Can you help me?” she asks me. 

“Of course. We see her in the future here for a long time Aunty so don’t worry.” I say to her 

“By the way, how is business going? Any trouble?” she asks 

“Not since you left the company. Everything has been running smoothly.” I say back to her. 

“Good good. Let me know if you guys need anything.” she says back to me 

“Okay okay we will. See you soon Aunty.” I say back to her. 

“Aunty Donna?” Zach says to me 

“Yeah. She was checking in on Lilly.” I say back to him 

“Interesting. She is a good worker. Have you seen what she does lately to my files?” he says to me

“In a good way or a bad way?” I ask him 

“Check this out.” he says to me while throwing down a stack of files

“All those files, if you look at them closely, she organized them in a way that would benefit us. See the due dates of all of our projects? If we complete them correctly not only will we be ahead of the game, but we will also be able to gain stocks without putting any money in it. She also added side notes to the plans.” he says to me 

I look at all the files and he is right. If we finish these by the due dates she put on we will be able to manifest stocks without purchasing. More like we will be able to use our investments as stocks instead of as leverage for territory. 

“What is her experience?” I ask him 

“I’ve been waiting for you to ask. See her background check came out clean, but you want to know what else I found?” he asks me 

“What?” I ask him 

“Nothing.” he says back to me 

“What do you mean nothing?” Is say back to him 

“Exactly what I mean. She has nothing. Only the information here. Everything else about her past has been wiped out.” he says to me curiously 

“So we have someone who is a spy or hiding?” I ask him     

“Not a spy. She has so many projects in her hand she could have sold out and got more money faster that way. I think she’s hiding from someone.” he says to me 

“Interesting. So I am guessing you have someone who has been following her?” I ask

“Of course. She lives a normal life and she is a normal person but I feel some type of presence with her.” he says to me 

“ I have felt the same as well. I say to him.

“So what should we do?” I say back to him 

“Lets see how things go and give her a task.” he says to me 

“To be honest, Aunt recommended her and I don’t mind adding another inheritance to our list. I think that is what Aunt wanted for her.” I say to him 

“I was thinking the same as well. Aunty never gets things like this wrong and it was her company we just developed it more.” he says back to me 

“So we agree on this?” I ask him 

“Let's first do a few more tests and see how she handles them. She is going to need to learn the truth about who we are soon if we do decide to have her in our family.” he says back to me 

“I looked at the notes she left and she categorized them by quantity instead of quality. It’s like a code of some sort. What does that mean?” I ask him 

“I don’t know but however she does this, it’s gold. We should follow this and see how it goes. We don't want to lose an opportunity like this. Lets continue and see where it goes." he says back to me
