I'm going crazy

Paris’s POV 

There is no way that I was just talking to her stomach. No way! There was something else in there. Is she? No it can’t be. She’s a virgin. Who did she lose it to? 

“What are you thinking?” Mars asks me

“I think I am going crazy. I just had the weirdest experience but I know it’s not possible. Wait! Why are you holding me like this?” I ask him 

“Oh you looked so lost I needed to help you before you got your ass kicked so I grabbed you.” he says to me 

“Put me down!” I ask

“Do you want me to hold you like this instead?” he says to me while holding me bridal style 

“No, just put me down. And why are you at my school? I thought you left already?” I ask him 

“I’m not going home till you come back with me and that’s final. So if you don’t want to go back home with me then I will just wait here for you everyday till you change your mind.” he says to me confidently

“Oh Mars! You’re so stubborn. Where is the Mars I loved and cared for before this demon came?” I ask him

“You loved him?’ he asks 

“Oh yes very much. Besides Danny he became my best friend. And then you came and messed everything up.” I say to him 

I see him blush and realize he is still holding me bridal style. 

“So you loved him?” he asks

“Of course I did! Didn’t he?” I ask him 

I see him blush and I realize what this conversation became. Oh he must have a whole new understanding of this. 

“Wait Mars. I think you’re confused.” I say to him 

“So you don’t love me?” he asks me

“No I do, it’s just a bit...

“What is going on here?” Jack says 

Why do I always have the worst timing in the world? Like seriously why. 

“None of your business. I need to know what she was about to answer so leave please.” Mars says to Jack.

“Get your hands off my girlfriend!” Jack says to Mars 

“Your girlfriend is over there talking to all the football players. Leave, I need to hear this.” Mars says as he blushes 

Next thing you know I’m grabbed by Jack and Mars grabs me back and they fight over me. I can’t do this anymore. They’re literally going to kill me. 

“How about none of you guys touch her and she goes with me.” Danny says

“I’ll be taking Paris. We have a few things we need to talk about and it’s important.” Jack says to them 

“Not as important as this.” he says as he marks his palm and I know exactly what that is. 

I flinch and Mars and Jack both stop and look at me concerned. 

“We gotta go. See you guys both never.” I say to them. 

“Time to ditch school lady.” Danny says to me 

“What’s going on?” I ask him. 

“There are a lot of things that you need to know and I need to tell you as your best friend.” he says to me 

He starts driving and talking to me about old fairy tales about Dracula and how mystical creatures are enchanting and cool. I never thought he had this side of him before. It’s like he is a whole new person. Have I not known the people around me in my life? Or is everyone changing and I’m being the one left behind? 

“To be honest I really do have to talk to you, but let's stop at the mall and get what we need for this Friday so we can match.” Danny says to me

“Fine let’s just go.” 

I buy a dark purple dress and he purchases a dark purple tux.  We actually look pretty good if you think about it. I love how I look in my dress. It makes me look like a normal girl living a normal life. A simple teenager getting ready doing simple teenager things. Wishful thinking. 

“What are you thinking about?” Danny asks 

“Just on how my life would have been if I grew up normal.” I say back to him. 

“What do you mean by normal?” he asks

“Nothing nothing. You look good in your suit and it matches your personality.” I say back to him 

“Really? Because I think your dress matches you as well.” he says back to me 

“It does it really does.” I say back to him smiling. 

“Let's get something to eat.” Danny tells me

I nod and we head out to a local diner to eat there.

“So what’s this nonsense about you needing to talk to me about something?” I ask 

“Well I really don’t know how to start this off but you need to know. So I’ll get right to it. You know that friend of yours, Mars? Well he isn’t who you think he is. He’s not just some bum that you found out of the blue. He was sent to find you. I don’t know why, but I had my dad look him up and come to find out he’s such a big shot bodyguard for some rich guy.” he says to me 

“That makes sense. Mars is pretty strong. I've seen him get into it with Jack.” I say to him 

“That’s the thing about it Paris, he is too strong. I don’t know what he wants with you but please stay away from him if you can.” Danny says back  concerned 

“I don’t think I have a choice.” I say back to Danny

“Why?” He asks 

“Because he pretty much lives with me. I mean I don’t have any issues with it besides him being bossy all the time, but for some reason he’s not a stranger to me. So I feel comfortable around him with me.” I say back to Danny 

“Okay I understand, but how about you stay with me at my house till school finishes?” He asks me
