ZOEY'S POV
Alpha Aiden made a promise not to hurt me, how disappointing it is that he had begun to do so less than three hours after our meeting.
His cold expression scared me and I began to fear that I had made a wrong choice by coming along with him. Perhaps, I should have picked the choice of running away instead of coming along with him.
"Are you alright, Zoey? He said we should prepare for the baby-making examination tomorrow." Rain said in a sad voice that explained her grievances.
I knew that she was afraid of calling Aiden a jerk in case I'd break down.
I tried to fake calmness in order not to make her worry, but since she’s my wolf she knows how I feel. "Of course I am. After all, that's what we are here for." I faked a calm smile and walked toward the dining room.
