There was this long enormously long alarming silence around Lydia and Kade. Echoing with it was the sound of insects that were surrounding both of them. It was only that for a while and that small while seemed too big and long enough. Slowly Kade turned around and looked right at Lydia. He stayed quiet all day, stayed quiet all night and now that he finally did speak, this was what he had to say to her.
