Angel POV Since I was attacked that summer morning two years ago, a lot had happened. First, Jock and I had gained a new kind of mutual respect and understanding. I had always believed in Miles' words, Jock would take care of me and my puppies. But after that morning, it was as if Jock was looking at us in a new way. I felt like we were our own little pack. The rest of that summer we had traveled further east than south. I heard the stories of the huntsmen attacks, but they all went on in the south, so I chose to travel east. We never traveled far on a day as there were limits to our endurance, since we each carried one of the puppies and some of our supplies.
