The next two days I spent a lot of time with Maria. She insisted I call her by her first name, she did not feel quite comfortable with her new title.
It was not long before I was sure she was hiding behind makeup and clothes too daring for a girl of only sixteen years. I could not understand why she wanted to hide herself, for she was the most natural, sweet and kind girl anyone could wish for as a Luna.
She also quickly proved to be energetic and determined.
