I barely heard the storm outside. The rain hit the windows, the wind howled, but my mind was in its own storm. The locket was on my desk. The blurry face of the third child pulled at something deep inside me. Obsidian Heitt. The name was in my head. It felt strange but also very close, like a whisper I had long forgotten.
