In return, Alexander would give any family that lets him marry their daughter a huge sum of money after the first six months of the marriage. This is classified information that Demetrius lays hold of.

Chapter: A disastrous morning
"Father, Alexander is a ruthless man; he killed his fiancée! I cannot marry him!” Elena shrieked, her eyes flashing with frustration. **** Earlier that day… "Vacate from the building; I won't accept such an indecent lady with lots of bills to pay: a chronic debtor." The landlord's voice, deep and sharp, broke through the mobile phone into Elena's eardrums. Her heart throbbed and her eyes were dry. She was gazing at the wall blankly, and the call ended abruptly. Her heart palpitated as she thought of what her next move would be now that her landlord was fed up with her crazy life. The glossy paint on the walls reflected the lights of the chandelier above her head. The breath of fresh air had seized to enter her nostrils, and her mind wandered with her mouth agape. She was deep in sorrow. "All of these can't be happening to me," she mumbled as she stood from her bed barefooted, walking to the refrigerator. She tilted her head as the elevator blinked with the number 45 on the side, and she gasped for breath, wondering who was coming for her now. The door flung open, revealing four strong-faced men who walked straight into her apartment, towards her direction. Elena's breath hung. "We have received instructions to assist you in leaving the building." The one who seemed like the leader spoke, his hoarse voice was commanding, Elena's gaze darted from him tongue last of them as she tried to figure out if she could use her wits and charm on them. She was filled with agonizing shame as she tried to make advances. "Can't I use anything to make you forget about that?" Elena asked, letting out a witty smile as she looked at the men standing very tall above her head. Her feigned drooling eyes fell on their crotch in a seductive manner. "We need you out of the building in less than one hour," The fourth guy spoke, as he placed his hands over his crotch as though he was being protective of it. "I'd appreciate it if you would let me touch you there,” Elena purred, her seductive gaze wandering around him. The fourth guy let out a gruntled sound, stepping back from her. He was clearly embarrassed by her bold advancements. The first man who spoke looked at her lasciviously, admiring the oversized shirt she had on her body. “Touch me instead,” he mentioned, walking up to her. Elena noticed how enthralled he was by her appearance and bent down to show her body off even more. "This isn't a motel, nor are you in any nightstand scenery," he said, swallowing a big gulp down his throat, his crotch growing. "You know, I'd make you forget your worries." Elena stylishly poured the water she had gotten from the fridge on her body, making her n*****s visible. "You're indeed, a w***e!” The man uttered, his voice cutting through her. She looked at the man with a feigned smile, trying to suppress the hurt that she felt in her heart. Her cheeks were up, revealing her perfect dentition, but her eyes seemed somewhat teary. "You're a man w***e!" She replied sarcastically, pulling away from him. She was no longer interested in trying to distract them. She was tired of being a play thing to men. The man was angered by her words and raised his hand as though to smack her. "Don't harm her,” the second man warned. “It’s her profession," the other men laughed mockingly at her. “That's why she's been thrown out, a complete menace to the society. A dirty w***e and a b***h!” They laughed even more, causing a gust of shame to Wash through her. Elena's face was drawn to the floor, her legs wobbling, and the water she poured on her skin made her pores draw to the cold air. She turned around and walked into her bathroom, fighting back the urge to burst into uncontrollable tears. She had just been humiliated by mere security men. Her heart rate was increasing as she thought of her other options for accomodations. It was no other place than her friend's. She ran out of her bathtub to make a call, her heart racing with her. "Baby girl, guess what?" Elena spoke to her friend, her voice low. "You had the best 12 inches of your life?" Her friend Scarlet squeaked over the phone and Elena smiled wryly, wishing she was not seen in such a dirty light. You're such a loser, she thought to herself, suppressing the sudden urge to burst out in tears. "My landlord threw me out,” she announced, her voice shaking. “I guess Wolfe gave him every detail," her face was pale with her eyebrows drawn and her voice was flat. Tears were welling up in her eyes as the reality was now dawning on her. "You finally lost your house? I guess that means you can now go back to your father.” Scarlet said without an atom of emotion in her voice. “The independent life isn't easy fit for you." Elena's tears had raced down to her cheeks, and her eyes had become less of their size with it's redness and swelling. "Yes, I guess, I am losing everything, including my seductive charms," She uttered, catching her breath as each drip of tears raced down her cheeks. "Go back home, Elena and ask your father for forgiveness," Scarlet insisted. "I can't! I was sent out of the house; I can't go back to my vomit," she said in a low tone, breathing heavily as her ears itched. "You're not going to stay in my house, even if you bleed. Go back to your family," Scarlett's voice was loud and deafening. "Baby girl, please…" but the call came to an abrupt end and she threw her phone into the bathtub, watching it shatter as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She let out a loud gasp and turned back to walk into her bedroom. The men had left the apartment. She wore her best outfit and gave in to going back to her father's house. "Father, I believe you will accept me back." Elena buried her face in her hands as shame washed through her. "Yes, I'd accept you if you follow my condition,” her father Demetrius said. She was standing outside the dilapidated mansion that used to be her home, shivering. The faces of their nosy neighbours were glowering at her. She felt mocked by their low murmurs and laughters. "Can I at least go inside, father? It's cold out here," She pleaded with her father, clutching her body with her arms. "Getting into the house means you accept my request," Demetrius spoke without pity, noting that Elena's face was swollen despite the heavy makeup she was wearing. Her thoughts were scattered all over the place. "Yes, I will follow your conditions,” Elena muttered. She was tired visibly tired and she wanted a roof over her head. Her father rolled his eyes at her with contempt and moved away from the door, letting her walk into the house. Her skin felt the warmth of home as she tried to settle her mind. The chandelier hanging on the ceiling, the paintings on the floor and the silky nature of the floor made her a bit comforted in the midst of her too many her problems. The only worry she had was, what was her father's unsaid condition?
