"Painful Night!!"
New York Edward Villa in the Morning The villa was decorated like a bride, as if preparations for a grand wedding were in full swing. A cab stopped outside the villa’s gate, and a girl stormed out of it, walking briskly toward the villa. People around stared at her in astonishment. The girl was stunningly beautiful, but her face was flushed with anger. She entered the villa and, upon seeing a man, a woman, and another girl in the hall, shouted furiously, “Stop these wedding preparations... There will be no wedding!” The man, the woman, the girl, and everyone else present turned toward the gate in shock, looking at the girl standing there. The three people’s faces turned pale as they recognised her. The girl, still furious, continued, “Aren’t you ashamed? How dare you think of spending my mother’s money on your daughter’s lavish wedding?” The man and woman were taken aback, clearly not expecting this. But the woman, enraged, yelled at the girl, “You wretched girl! How dare you set foot in my house with your filthy presence?” The girl retorted with equal anger, “And how dare you mortgage my mother’s only piece of land to fund your daughter’s wedding?” Glaring at the man, the girl added, “Uncle! Don’t you have even an ounce of humanity left for your deceased sister? She trusted you enough to entrust you with her only property, and you have betrayed that trust!” The man and woman were her uncle, Rakesh Sahni, and aunt, Niti Sahni. Rakesh, trying to keep his composure, said, “Alisha, I know very well how and where to use my sister’s last memento. I don’t need your advice.” Alisha, seething with anger, replied, “Uncle, I’m her daughter, and I have the right to that land. I’m here to claim it today. So, return my mother’s land to me.” Niti Sahni stepped forward, fuming, “You think we’ll just hand over that land worth crores to you on a silver platter?” Alisha shot back, “Those days are gone, Aunt. Don’t mistake me for the weak girl I used to be. If you don’t return my mother’s land willingly, you’ll all have to face the consequences.” Her threat only enraged Niti and Rakesh further. Just then, their daughter, Nitara Sahni, stepped forward, looking Alisha up and down. With a mocking tone, she said, “Dad... Mom, I almost didn’t recognize our plain and ugly Alisha Di. How did she suddenly turn so beautiful? What’s going on? And where was she for the past three years?” Nitara eyed Alisha suspiciously and added sarcastically, “Alisha Di, what a dramatic comeback! But unfortunately for you, everything has changed in these three years. I’m marrying into the wealthiest Rajput family in Mumbai, and compared to their fortune, this tiny piece of land is nothing.” Alisha stood silently, looking at her stepsister, who had never accepted her as family and only harbored hatred for her. Memories of her past flooded her mind. But refusing to let herself appear weak, Alisha replied coldly, “If this so-called Rajput family doesn’t care about my mother’s ‘tiny’ piece of land, then why don’t you just return it to me? I have no interest in your lives or talking to you all. I’m only here for my mother’s land.” Nitara laughed and said, “Oh, Di, why are you so angry? We’re all family here. Let’s sit down and talk peacefully.” She gestured toward the sofa. Alisha raised her hand, dismissing the suggestion. “I have no desire to sit with people like you. Just give me my mother’s land, and I’ll leave.” Niti snapped angrily, “Enough of your nonsense! Now listen to me. You were four years old when your mother left you to burden us. We raised you, and in return, we asked for nothing. Now, we have a right to this land, and we won’t give it to you! Do whatever you want. Anyway, you were gone for years; who knows what you’ve been doing or where you’ve been? You’ve always been a disgrace, just like your mother!” Hearing this about her mother, Alisha couldn’t hold back anymore. Flaring up, she said, “That’s enough, Aunt! Just because I’m tolerating your words doesn’t mean you can insult my mother. I won’t listen to a single word against her. And let me make it clear: the land you’re so proud of belongs to my mother, and I’ll get it back, no matter what I have to do.” She turned to leave. Behind her, Nitara laughed and said, “Mom, why are you even paying attention to Alisha Di’s words? Focus on my wedding instead. Once I’m married, I’ll lay thousands of such pieces of land at your feet!” Nitara was clearly speaking loudly enough for Alisha to hear, but Alisha ignored her and walked out. But Nitara couldn’t resist throwing another jibe, “Oh, and Di, you’re invited to my wedding if you’d like to come. Just don’t tell anyone there that you’re my sister. After all, the scandal you caused years ago might ruin my wedding!” Alisha paused for a moment but said nothing and walked out. Once she left, Rakesh turned to Niti and Nitara, saying, “She’s back. Now what do we do? That land will never truly be ours unless Alisha signs it over, and she never will.” Niti smirked devilishly and replied, “Why do you think she won’t? It’s actually good that she’s back. Now watch how I make her sign over that land.” Meanwhile, Alisha stepped outside the villa. Memories of her past were haunting her. She glanced back at the villa—a house that was once her home but had never shown her love, respect, or acceptance. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she quickly wiped them away as a taxi pulled up. Alisha got in and closed her eyes, recalling the events of three years ago. Three Years Ago "Why do you need to go on the college trip? Only rich kids with some class are going. You wear clothes I’ve cast off, and you still want to join the trip? Stay home. Mom and Dad sending you to college is more than enough!” Nitara had dismissed Alisha’s desire to join the trip outright. Alisha, a first-year student, was disheartened. But thanks to her best friend Krisha, she eventually got ready for the trip. Nitara wasn’t happy about it, but Alisha joined the college trip. That night, the group stopped at a mountain area and prepared for a bonfire. Everyone seemed to be having fun, and so was Alisha. She had two best friends, Krisha and Niyam, and secretly liked Niyam, though she had never told him. She didn’t think she was as good as the other girls, and most people made fun of her thick glasses. While everyone was enjoying the bonfire, someone offered Alisha a drink. She refused, but the person assured her it was just juice. Trusting them, Alisha drank it. Unknown to her, a shadowy figure watched her with a sinister smile. Later that night, as Alisha was heading toward her hotel room, she started feeling strange. Her vision blurred, her body felt unusually hot, and she became unsteady. Suddenly, someone grabbed her and pushed her into a room, locking the door from the outside. Alisha, completely intoxicated, fell onto the bed and sensed someone approaching her. The last thing she remembered was the piercing gaze of silver eyes before everything went black. Present Day The taxi came to a stop, pulling Alisha out of her painful memories. Who was responsible for what happened to Alisha? Will she get her mother’s land back? And what twists await Alisha’s life? Keep reading "Pregnant By Alpha King" to find out.
