Blurb

For three years, Olivia believed her husband was asexual.

Out of love and respect, she never questioned the distance between them, the separate sides of the bed, the rejected touches, the endless excuses. Even when he insisted they conceive through IVF, she trusted him completely.

Then, on her birthday, she discovers the devastating truth.

The husband, who claimed to have no desire, had been passionately involved with another woman all along. Worse, Olivia learns that her marriage was built on lies, betrayal, and a cruel scheme that turned her into nothing more than a pawn in someone else's love story.

Humiliated, abandoned, and stripped of everything she once treasured, Olivia walks away and starts over.

But when her ex-husband realizes too late that the woman he truly loved was the one he destroyed, no amount of wealth, regret, or desperate devotion can win her back.

Some betrayals can be forgiven. Others leave nothing but ashes.

Chapter 1
When my husband, who claimed to be asexual, and I went camping on a mountaintop to spice up our marriage, I tried everything I could to set the mood. But no matter what I did, he remained completely unresponsive. Left with no other choice, I placed a performance-enhancing substance in my mouth, intending to feed it to him. Instead, he suddenly flew into a rage, shoved me away, and frantically rinsed out his mouth. "Olivia, can you stop being so disgusting? Isn't that the only reason people do this kind of thing to have a child? "I know you want a kid, and you already went through so much pain with IVF. Now the baby's three months old. I seriously don't understand why you're still forcing this crap on me!" The next second, his friend Anna stepped out of a nearby tent, doubled over with laughter as she clutched her stomach. "Sis, that coquettish act of yours isn't going to work. Gary doesn't go for that sort of thing. Back when we were at our wildest, neither of us held back. We'd go at it ten times a night." Before I could even process what was happening, Gary had already grabbed Anna and dragged her into her tent. Soon, the sounds of their breathless entanglement drifted out from inside, rising and falling without pause. I stood frozen, suppressing a surge of rage as I reevaluated our entire relationship. I gave him time to come out and reject her. He never did. That settled it for me. Ending this marriage wouldn't be the end of the world. In fact, it seemed like a pretty good option. ***** I was still holding back my anger and texting a friend to help schedule a divorce appointment when Anna emerged from the tent, dragging Gary behind her. His face was flushed, and there was still a lingering heat in his eyes. With a smug smile, she said, "Sis, I've already 'trained' him for you. Don't worry, his stamina is great. How about you two pick up where we left off?" I looked at Gary, whose face still burned with unspent desire, and forced down a wave of nausea. "No need. Useless trash like him is all yours." Anna let out an exaggerated gasp. "Sis, you're not jealous, are you?" As she spoke, her hand slid across the firm muscle of Gary's chest, and she giggled. "I'm doing this for your own good. Look at you... you tried all night and got nowhere. You must be so frustrated. "Gary was acting all high and mighty. I couldn't stand watching it, so I stepped in and trained him a little for you." Seeing the fury in my face, she bent down, picked up the lingerie I had prepared earlier, and casually tossed it at Gary. "Gary, hurry up and put this on for your wife. Cheer her up. If a woman goes too long without s*x, she might end up frigid, you know." With that, she walked over and sat down nearby, crossing her legs as though she were settling in to watch a show. "Don't mind me. Just pretend I'm not here." I turned to Gary. The moment the lingerie touched him, he recoiled as though it were something filthy, his expression darkening with anger. He immediately brushed it off, grabbed Anna's bottle of rubbing alcohol, and sprayed himself down furiously. "Anna, you've gone too far! You know I'm a neat freak. Why would you throw something so dirty at me?" Anna giggled, stood up, and wrapped her arms around him, her hands slipping beneath his collar. Gary's face instantly flushed red again, and a soft sound escaped his lips before he could stop it. "No way. You were fine when I wore this exact kind of thing to seduce you before. But when your wife prepares it, suddenly it's dirty?" She turned to me. "Olivia, how do you put up with this?" I stared at the bright red marks scattered across her chest, my heart clenching painfully. In the end, all I could manage was a cold sneer. "It doesn't matter. I won't put up with it anymore. Now I find him disgusting too." I turned and started to leave. "Olivia, stop right there!" But before I could take another step, Gary shoved Anna aside and blocked my path. "Where are you going in the middle of the night? Stop making a scene, will you? You wanted to watch the stars, didn't you? I'll stay here and keep you company properly." After a brief pause, he added stiffly, "Nothing happened between her and me just now." "Yeah, right." I let out a sharp scoff and fixed him with a cold stare. "Gary, am I the one making a scene? You were the one who promised to make up for my birthday tonight. You were the one who said it would be just the two of us." I pointed at Anna. "Then what is she doing here? Did she materialize out of thin air? "And for the three years we've been married, you've always claimed you had a strict upbringing and no interest in s*x, right? So how is it that the moment you stepped into that tent with her, you turned into a completely different person?" I shot him a sarcastic look as he bit his lip, and suddenly the entire situation felt absurd. He opened his mouth as if to explain. In the end, only one sentence came out. "If that's what you're going to believe, there's nothing I can do." My heart sank completely.
