20th January 2023. "Miss Stone, the results are out and I have good news for you," Mr John, the pack doctor, said with a smile plastered on his face. "And what could that be?" "You're two months pregnant" Nina's whole body became stiff as she stared at the doctor in shock. "What!!!" She exclaimed as her eyes stared at the doctor in disbelief. "Are you sure?" Nina asked again to be sure that she heard what she heard correctly. "Yes, Miss Stone. You can see the result for yourself" Doctor John stretched his hand forward with the white folded paper in his hands. Nina took the results from his hands and opened them hastily. She didn't read the paper at all as her eyes went to the end of the paper and her eyes found the words which confirmed what Dr John said. "POSITIVE" Nina was glad that she had a child that belonged to Jacob but wondered how she might have been pregnant. Whenever she and Jacob were intimate, he would always pull out before he ejaculated. He said he didn't want her to get pregnant before they got married and Nina was glad that he had her in mind but now that the baby was here, she hoped that he would marry her as soon as possible. "Thank you, doctor," Nina said as she stood up, putting the folded paper in her bag and leaving the office. Nina took the elevator to the first floor and a smile crept on her face the moment the thought of being a mother crossed her mind. She didn't have her parents around for long. She lost her father when she was 18 and her mother left her and her father to be with another man when she was just 10. The elevator door opened and Nina stepped out but instantly halted as the smell of forest trees mixed with honey filled her nostrils. "Mate" Mia,who was Nina wolf screamed in Nina's head excitedly. Nina instantly had the urge to turn back. Turning back, she met the brown distant, and cold eyes of the tall muscular man whom she once worked for. "You?" Nina stuttered in shock. Alpha Marvis gave up waiting for his mate and was already engaged to the daughter of an alpha from another pack. "Is this a joke?" Alpha Marvis asked mockingly, looking upwards as if he could see the moon goddess from where he stood. What game was the moon goddess trying to play? His mate was his beta girlfriend? Being a thirty-five-year-old bachelor, he felt like he wasn't meant to have a mate. Everyone found their mate but he didn't find his until now. Looking at Nina's blue eyes, his wolf leaped for joy and he felt a strong pull towards her. His eyes went darker as he stared at her coldly. What benefit could come with being mated to an omega? He asked himself. He was already engaged to an alpha and would be getting married soon so why be with a loser? "I, Alpha Marvis Hunt of Bluemoon Pack reject you Nina Stone of Bluemoon Pack as my mate" " I, Nina Stone accept your rejection" Alpha Marvis felt a huge pain in his chest and he knew that Ben, his wolf, wasn't happy with the rejection. Nina said as she turned back and hurriedly walked out of the hospital. She was in love with Jacob and wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. Being the mate of the alpha could make her cut ties with Jacob and she didn't want that. In Nina's life, there are two people she treasures most. Camila, her best friend, and Jacob, her boyfriend, were the only people who stood up for her and made her feel welcome. Other wolves who were her age abhorred her so much that they would always bully her or pick fights with her. Nina was scared of being lonely and she didn't want to ever lose Camila or Jacob in any way. They were the only people who didn't treat her with disrespect and always associated with her. Half an hour later. She opened the door of Jacob's house and walked into the living room but halted in her steps after seeing Camila's heels just before the foot mat. Nina picked up the shoe and looked at it closely to realize that it was the same shoe as she had suspected. The thought of Camila being in her boyfriend's house right now crossed her mind but she quickly removed the thought from her head as she walked slowly to Jacob's bedroom. Tiptoeing to the bedroom, Nina suddenly halted in her tracks as she heard the moans from Jacob's room. With shaky hands and still in disbelief, she walked into the room to see Jacob on a lady under the duvet. "Jacob" she called out as her voice trembled and a tear ran down her left cheek as soon as she saw it was her boyfriend and best friend. Nina was shocked and couldn't move for a few seconds. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.
