Chapter one: THE FAITHFUL SERVANT For over fifty years,old Samuel served the powerful Devereaux family. He has entered their mansion as a young boy and spent his entire life cleaning, cooking and protecting the family's secrets. He knew every hidden affair,every forged document, every betrayal and every crime that had been buried behind their smiles. Despite his loyalty,the family never truly considered him one of their own. Those words planted jealousy in many hearts. Chapter three: THE UNHAPPY RELATIVES Richard's younger brother,Victor secretly controlled illegal businesses. His wife, Margaret had stolen millions from the family company through fake accounts. Their son, Edward gambled heavily and owed dangerous men money. None of them wanted Adrian to inherit the family fortune. Unknown to them, Samuel had once overheard everyone of their schemes. Even as a child, Adrian smiled whenever he saw them. "Uncle Victor still hides money beneath his wine cellar....Aunt Margaret still uses the same fake company names.... Edward still loses everything to gambling. At age five, Adrian innocently asked during dinner,"Uncle Victor,did you move the money from the wine cellar already ". The spoon dropped from Victor's hands, "Wh- What are you talking about?" Adrian smiled. "I thought you kept black bags there". Everyone laughed, thinking it was childish imagination. But Victor froze. Only he knew. Chapter Four: FEAR BEGINS Margaret often visited the study to transfer money from secret accounts. One day, Little Adrian entered the room. "Aunt Margaret,Why do you always use the account named Silver Star Holdings?". She turned pale. " Who told you that". You talk in your sleep". Adrian replied innocently. That night, Margaret couldn't sleep. "How does that child know?" Soon, strange rumors spread among the relatives,some believed Adrian possessed supernatural powers. Others thought someone was spying on them.But Adrian simply remembered Because once,he had been the servant they ignored. Chapter Five: FIRST ATTEMPT Victor decided Adrian was too dangerous. One evening,he bribed a maid to poison the boy's milk. Unfortunately for him, Samuel had spent decades among servants. He recognized immediately. "Martha", Adrian smiled,"did Uncle Victor promise you money?". The tray fell from her hands. Terrified,she confessed everything. Victor denied the accusation, but Richard Devereaux was furious and expelled his brother from the mansion. Victor swore revenge. Chapter Six : THE HIDDEN WILL Years earlier, Richard had hidden his true will inside a secret compartment behind a painting. Only Samuel had witnessed it while cleaning. At age ten, Adrian walked into his grandfather's office. "Grandfather,why don't you check behind the portrait of grandmother?". Richard's eyes widened. Behind it was the hidden will. The old man trembled. "No one knows about this...." Except Samuel had known. The Will exposed that Victor and several relatives had been planning to seize the company illegally. Richard immediately changed the inheritance,making Adrian the sole successor. This fueled even greater hatred. Chapter Seven: THE GHOST OF THE SERVANT One night, Margaret gathered the family. "That boy is possessed!". Edward shouted,"He knows things impossible for a child!". Victor sneered. "perhaps Samuel's ghost came back". Everyone laughed nervously. None of them realized they had spoken the truth. Chapter Eight: THE FALL OF THE WICKED By the time Adrian turned eighteen, he had rebuilt the company into an empire. Victor was arrested after his crimes were exposed. Margaret was imprisoned for embezzlement. Edward fled overseas after losing everything. As for Adrian,he never sought revenge for hatred's sake. He simply believed that evil should face consequences. Standing before Samuel's old room- the tiny servant quarters where he had spent fifty years. Adrian whispered ' " Thank you old friend,You endured pain and humiliation." But now, we finally live with dignity ". Tears rolled down his eyes. For although,he was now the richest member of the Devereaux family,deep inside he still remembered the lonely servant who had once eaten leftovers and slept on a hard bed. And he made a promise: No servant in the Devereaux would ever again be treated as less than family. EPILOGUE: THE MYSTERY CONTINUES Years later,Adrian's little daughter, Sophia looked at him and asked, "Daddy ...why do I remember living somewhere else before i was born?". Adrian froze.
