Saving Akira (Complete)

Chapter 4

     The week passed in a flurry of activity and before Akira knew it the time was coming for her to go to the dinner party with Jon. As she entered the building for work on Friday she approached Sue and smiled hoping the woman remembered that she said she could borrow an outfit for the formal dinner. “Hi Akira. A package arrived for you this morning.” Sue pointed to the rather large box that had been wrapped in a beautiful metallic pink wrapping paper. 

     Quirking her brow she looked at it cautiously. “Who sent it do you know?” Her attention not once left the package on the desk afraid to even touch it right now. “It was something sent from here within the office. Akira I am sure it is not going to bite you. Why do you look so worried about it?” Sue looked at her as she spoke and Akira shrugged her shoulders. “It’s nothing. Thank you Sue did you remember that outfit?” 

     “Perhaps you should open that first then we will discuss your outfit for tonight.” Oh Sue already knew what was in there and knew how exceptional it was going to look on Akira. Designer clothing that would make any woman drool and any man who looked at Akira while she wore it would no doubt find themselves with a massive hard on. 

     “Ok I’ll open it here with you so you can see it too.” Carefully Akira removed the beautiful wrapping and opened the box. Inside was a note on top of the tissue paper that blocked her view of what was inside. “There’s a note. It says…Akira, I can’t wait to see you in this I hope you like it.  I chose it since it goes with your stunning eyes. And it is signed Jon.” She blinked at Sue whose smile beamed telling Akira that her newly found friend knew all about it. “You knew didn’t you Sue? I can’t accept this.” 

     “Yes I knew and the whole office knows that Jon has been watching you like none other since you arrived on Monday. You can and will take this dress because if you don’t it will definitely upset Jon. And I will help you get ready for the dinner party tonight. I’ll do your hair for you Akira. Now open it and let’s take a peek at what he got for you!” Excited to see what was inside she quickly joined Akira to peek at what she got. 

      Shaking her head Akira did not understand why she did not want to hurt Jon since she knew they could not get close to one another. She just could not allow herself to do so it was for his own good why couldn’t he understand that? Damn men! Gently she lifted back the tissue paper and her jaw dropped open nearly hitting the floor as she got the first peek at the gown. “Oh. My. God.” Was all that came out of her mouth as she looked to Sue shocked at what she saw “This is too much this gown must have cost a small fortune!” 

    “Akira I will hold this here and keep a good eye on it. When we finish up work today which by the way will be at 3pm so we can get you dressed for the party we can go back to your place. We will have tons of fun together. I will even bring a bottle of wine with me so we can calm you down. Girlfriend you look like you are about to faint. Oh and Jon is out of the office today on meetings that and he was afraid you would try to give this back.” Sue thought it was because of the shear shock of the dress but the real shock was yet to come. Carefully they both put the lid back on and tucked the package away in a safe place. 

     “Alright I guess I have no other choice.” Taking a deep breath Akira moved away from the desk “I’ll see you in a few hours.” Once she returned to her office the day went by in a flash. When the clock showed 3pm Akira had felt like she had just gotten there. However, she knew it was time to go and meet with Sue downstairs. Akira locked the door to her office and off she went. “Ready Sue?” spoke to the woman just as she got to the desk.  

     To Akira’s surprise the woman was already ready to leave with the package safely tucked under her arm. “Let’s get this party started! I went out at lunch and grabbed us a bottle of Blackberry Merlot. I hope that is alright.” Not waiting for an answer she grabbed Akira’s wrist and pulled the woman out the front door. 

     “My room is just down the street it is about a 30 minute walk. We can walk if you want Sue. Though by the time you get ready to leave a walk back may not be a wise idea. Do you have a car we could use?” Time to put on the big girl panties she thought as she followed a quiet Sue to her car. The woman was obsessed with making sure Akira was set to go tonight. Within 15 minutes they arrived at Akira’s less than savory motel. Lowering her head she waited for whatever Sue had to say. 

     “Oh girlfriend this place is not a good place for you to be. We will have to find you someplace better to stay until we can get you an apartment. Come on let’s get you ready.” They both got out of the car and it suddenly dawned on her that she could not have Jon pick her up here. “Sue please tell me there is a way to get in contact with Jon. I can’t have him pick me up here in a limo.” Shaking her head Sue sighed knowing exactly how he was going to react to Akira living her. “f**k me sideways. He is going to hit the roof.”  She spoke softly as she opened her tiny room and let Sue in.
