Chapter 3
Hope
Our eyes locked, filled with desire.
I yearned to take control, to lay her down and initiate our intimacy. Yet, a part of me wanted to surrender, allowing her to unbuckle and take the lead.
She unbuckled finally, her heart panting heavily with desire, her face glowed with flushed cheeks radiating hunger. Her fingers wrapped around my hardness and I felt a jolt of electricity. Her gentle stroke sent waves of pleasure and my c**k throbbed with anticipation.
Ready to envelope me, I heard a beeping sound piercing through my eardrum and I woke up gasping for air, my heart racing with resentment.
I slapped the alarm silent in fury, disappointed to leave the intimate dream behind.
I woke up hard, craving her touch and release of anxiety. The dream's passion still lingering leaving me with a deep longing to want her more. I couldn't shake the desire.
I jumped out of bed to take a shower. My hardness grew as I replayed our intimate dream in the bathroom. I considered jerking off, imagining Josephine's touches and her beautiful face. But then I remembered - I had a class to catch up so I reluctantly let go of the fantasy and hastened up. A quick shower washed away my face, clearing my mental fog. I felt human again.
I quickly dressed in a flash, not bothering to iron out wrinkles or check my reflection. I grabbed my bag pack, without eating breakfast and ran out the door.
The cool morning air enveloped me, making me feel revitalized, I dashed to school determined to get to class on time.
I arrived at school a few minutes later than expected because of the traffic. I got to class, and slid into my seat, slightly out of breath.
Class dragged on, but my mind was elsewhere, stuck on Josephine. I searched the room, worried when I couldn't find her. My concern made it impossible to focus.
Finally the class was dismissed, and I headed to the cafeteria, driven by hunger. The bustling corridors swirled around me, students chatting and laughing, but my thoughts remained anchored to Josephine.
Scanning the crowd, I spotted Emily, one of Josephine's closest friends. I thought of meeting her to ask about Josephine's well-being, but Emily's reputation for being snobbish gave me a pause.
As I headed to the cafeteria, I remembered I needed to stop by my locker to drop books. I walked swiftly back to my locker and then I spotted Josephine standing by her locker.
Seeing her made My heart skip, I couldn't help but feel happy. I quickly put my books away, sneaking glances at her.
Maybe she would recognize me from yesterday, and we could finally connect. Various scenarios of how we'd meet again flooded my mind.
However, considering her recovery, I thought, “Not today. Maybe another time.”
Just then, Ken appeared, walking toward Josephine. My concern grew.
“This guy again,”I thought. “What does he want with Josephine this time?”
Josephine's eyes flashed with anger. Her body language screamed discomfort.
I moved closer, about five feet away, pretending to be busy.
“Josephine, I'm sorry. I was out of line,” Ken said, full of insincerity.
I could tell that Ken meant everything he did there, but I still couldn't imagine he would do such a thing to Josephine.
“Sorry? You disrespected me, Ken. I'm not sure I can forget what you did to me,”Josephine replied.
What has gotten into you? I know you too well to expect this from you. Josephine added.
Ken pleaded, “It was a mistake, I was drunk.”
Josephine's face showed disdain. “Leave me alone, I'm really disappointed, I need time to process.”
Ken protested, “One mistake can't erase our childhood memories and many years of bond. We've gone a long way to let this break us Josephine.”
Josephine countered, “You revealed your true intentions. You told me you wanted me all to yourself.”
“Work on your mind, Ken,” Josephine concluded.
Ken begged, “I promise never to cross boundaries again.”
“Leave right now!” Josephine shouted, her voice echoing through the hallways.
Her voice caught the attention of students walking by.
They slowed to a stop, mesmerized, their eyes locked onto the scene unfolding.
Some students took out their phones to record.
“You're asking me to leave your sight! Ken sneered, his eyes flashing with anger.
Their conversation escalated, Josephine's words slicing through the air like daggers.
“Leave me alone for now, Ken!”
Ken turned and noticed the people staring and taking videos of the scene. His fist suddenly clenched, his face reddened.
“Leave us alone! Ken yelled at the people watching.
“This is none of your business,” Ken said furiously. And they all fled.
As I watched from afar, Josephine's discomfort grew. Her body language screamed distress. I decided to step in, sensing the conversation was escalating.
“Leave her alone, Josephine deserves respect and your action was unacceptable.”
Josephine's eyes widened in surprise as she saw me while Ken glared at me with contempt.
“Who are you to interrupt us?” Ken snarled, taking a step closer to me, his fists clenched.
But Josephine intervened, her voice firm. “Stay away from him, Ken. He's here for me.”
Ken's eyes narrowed. “What's going on, Josephine? How do you know him?”
“That's none of your business,” Josephine replied.
“Would you choose him over someone you've known since childhood?” Ken's voice dripped with malice.
Josephine stood tall. “He’s better than a friend who showed his true intentions in one night.”
“I don't want to talk to you,” She said.
Josephine grasped my arm, pulling me away and leaving Ken behind.
“Let's go.” she said.
As we left, I felt surprised. Why did Josephine stand up for me like that?
“Did she mean it?” I wondered. “Or was she just getting back at Ken?”
We disappeared from view, leaving Ken behind.
She stared at me, her eyes met mine. Her eyes were cloudy like she'd cry, But she shaked it away.
“I didn't know you were in the same school as me ,” Josephine said.
“I tried introducing myself yesterday, but you weren't in the mood,” I replied.
“I've been trying to recover from the incident .”
“I understand, I said. “I'm glad you're better now.”
“Donald, right?” She recalled.
“Yeah, Donald.
And you're Josephine.” I said smiling.
“So, you've known me before now?” She asked.
“ Yes, We attend lectures together,” I explained. “And You're popular; everyone knows you.”
Josephine's curiosity grew. “ I'm getting to know you now?”
“I don't pay attention to everyone,so i guess.” Josephine admitted. “School's overwhelming.”
“Nice meeting you,”She said. Thankyou for coming through.”
“You're welcome.”
I felt thrilled to be appreciated. Butterflies flutter in my stomach.
We strolled through the school grounds, enjoying the autumn breeze.
"I was worried, when I didn't see you in class,” I said.
“Really?Thank You for your concern“
“Do you feel school is stressful?” Josephine asked.
“Yes, school is stressful. Sometimes I just feel like giving up.” I admitted.
“But I can't,”I said.
“Me too,” Josephine chuckled.
“Since you attended class, can you send me the outline?” Josephine asked.
“Yes,” I replied.
Josephine shared her contact with me; it gave me hope that things could work out between us.
“I have to go,” Josephine said.
“Would you like dinner tonight?” I asked.
Josephine hesitated. “I'm really busy tonight, maybe next time?”
I smiled, hiding my disappointment. “No worries, next time then.”
Josephine smiled back. “Definitely.”
As Josephine left, I couldn't shake off the feeling that she was making an excuse.
It was dawn already and I began to pack my bags, preparing to head home.
Suddenly, a harsh push from behind sent me stumbling.
I spun around, checking for who pushed me. It was Ken.
Ken's menacing gaze locked onto mine.
His eyes blazed with anger.
