POV:
Ray Mellan
We walk along beside each other in silence.
Harry broke the silence, and asked me, " How are you?"
I huff out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding in." I'm fine, just drained of energy." Harry sees straight through my little lie as always, as he raises an eyebrow at me." Fine - fine. I'm a lot of things. Stressed is definitely one, worried, and I feel like my anxiety is literally poking at me every second, thinking about that night."
I am being honest with him. There is no point in lying anyway.
Harry is one of my best friends.
He nods in understanding, pulling me in for a hug to comfort me. I have always felt safe in his arms, and he always helps me forget about my past.
"So how are things with your dad, Harry?" I asked him. He lives with his dad, who is in no sense fit for that word. After his mother'sss death, he turned into a drunkard beast. And would bring different women home every night, so Harry had shifted to another apartment, where I lived with him for three months.
"It's worse." He sighed. I have never seen him so out of control, he is always very collective and he is the one to console me, but right now he looks torn. I can't help but just hug him,e he does to help him ease his pains.
Immediately he tightens his hold on me, and takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself.
I have never seen this devastating side of Harry.
"I understand, Harry. You can live with me, Don't worry, I'll speak to my dad, but he isn't home, so it's fine, You stay with me as long as you want, and I'm so glad that you shifted to my school, from yours. At least we will be together and Don't worry Harry, everything will be okay." I said.
Currently, we were standing outside my house, " Thank you, Ray, You are the best!" he tried his best to smile.
I smiled back, and opened the door, I saw through my right side, some movements but ignored it.
And Harry with his luggage, walked behind me, to my room.
