Chp 9. She stood her grounds.

341 Words
POV: Ash Thomson I was currently waiting outside my house, to pick Ray and go to a cafe to talk about. There she comes outside, her brown silky hair is pulled back in a braid and falls loosely towards the side of her shoulder. She's also wearing jeans that look like they are a couple of sizes too big and a large sweater that covers most of her body. She looks like she's trying not to stand out, but I think the effect is quite the opposite. The glasses look really sexy on her and combined with the bride she looks so innocent. Even when she's clearly not at her best, she is still beautiful. I silently curse myself out for still thinking about her this way even when I don't want to. I literally feel time slow down at the sight of her. f**k this day hasn't even started and I already know I'm a goner. "Ready to leave?" I jumped after hearing Ray's voice. "Yeah, I am" I replied while grabbing her hand in my palm. I'm glad she didn't refuse. I remember, that day when I was being pushed down by some naughty boys, making fun of me for not being like them. "Stop!" a tiny girl came in front of me, to protect me from those bullies standing straight with her hands protecting me firmly. "Get out of my way girl." that giant kid yelled. But she stood her grounds, didn't move. I knew she was scared but didn't give up. And this motivated me to stand up to my bullies, I stood up again, from the ground and then they ran back, leaving me alone. I know my face was red swollen from crying and getting beaten up, but she came near me. Helped my balance and she held my hand tight. Just like I held her today. I don't know if she remembers me, that kid who she stood up for but I'm glad I have her, I will not give up on her. Never. •••••
