It wasn’t hard for her to navigate the smallish, dim passageway. Unlike the sometimes maze-like basement areas she was accustomed to, this hallway went straight and had no others shooting off of it, no way to make a wrong turn or get lost. She simply continued straight, one hand pressed to the cold stone more to reassure herself than because she needed it. Finally, she did reach a point where the hallway split.
