Anahi's POV What the hell was he doing here, and why the hell did he look murderous? I stood up, suddenly feeling all the anger and anguish I've felt the last 10 years, and walked over to where Aibek was standing. "What the hell is your problem? Why are you here?" I could feel Quill coming up behind me. "We need to talk in private and that means without your new-found friend here". Aibek nodded his chin up in Quills' direction. I narrowed my eyes at him, not trusting to be alone with him. 'Maybe we should hear him out, see what kind of bullshit he spits out this time' Elara almost, snarled. Shocked, I turned and looked at Quill, giving him a nod indicating that it was fine. As soon as Quill is back at our table, Aibek grabs my arm and drags me into the passage before the restrooms. "Let go of me, I can walk on my own accord". I yanked my arm down to my side out of his grasp. I glared at him waiting for him to say what he needed to say, slightly getting annoyed. "Don't look at me like that, you know you shouldn't be hanging out with outsiders", he glowered at me. I scoff, what the hell does he mean by that exactly? That's exactly what they have been calling me for the last 10 years. "If he's an outsider, then why wouldn't I go around him, seeing as you and this entire pack have done nothing but call me exactly that and make me feel like one." I hadn't realized how angry I was about everything. Aibek stood there for a couple of seconds before looking into my eyes. "What happened to you," I heard him whisper, so lowly I barely heard it. I looked at him confused. How couldn't he know? All the things they said to me, all the things they did to me, all because their beta couple was murdered. They all acted as if it were my fault. "That doesn't matter", he shook his head as if clearing the thoughts in his mind. "I want to talk about us being mates, I may have made a mistake of rejecting you. We can learn to be together. I will make Celia the Luna, but keep you as my mate since you have no wolf and the pack needs a strong luna." He put his hand on my cheek longingly. 'He CANNOT be serious right now? What the hell made him even start to think that we would agree to something so absurd', Elara snarled. I couldn't agree more with her, he has lost his ever loving mind. "What do you say, hm? We could make this work my wolf can't do without you." I looked up at him. "What? The actual hell makes you think--- "She won't be your mistress, or anyone else's." I froze at the familiar voice. I turned as sparks sizzled their way through my veins, slowly making it feel deeper. I let my eyes make a slow journey up the man now in front of me. Black shiny shoes, dark gray slacks that fit perfectly, so you could see his strong long legs, long lean but strong torso covered in a white button up tucked in with a blazer to top it off. I finally make it to his face. Sharp jaw, the most luscious lips, then his eyes. The deepest shade of green so piercing and fierce, a look could just paralyze you in place. His aura dark and dangerous just like it had always been. I loved that the most about him. "Xaloc" I breathed out, feeling as if my heart would break through my chest with how hard it was beating. He really did grow up. Everything was broader, bigger, and smoother. He is absolutely breathtaking. We locked eyes. "Hey Nahi", he smiled. Everything disappeared around us, it was just him and me there. Aibek's POV I looked at the man in front of Anahi. Who was this? I don't have a good feeling about this. Why are they looking at each other that way? Since when did she answer to Nahi, she has always hated that nickname. I was confused. "Well, well, it looks like dad and I won the bet, you didn't wait for the full weak brother", Quill chuckles. Brother? I scrunched up my face. Xaloc. I glared. "What the hell are you doing here, you and your brother need to leave the territory", I growled. Xaloc finally took his eyes off Anahi "and she doesn't like being called Nahi", I smirked. Completely unbothered, he sighed, looked at Anahi and smiled softly, looking less imposing. Quill looked amused, mumbling "Oh boy here we go" There is history there, I could see it in the way she looked up at him. "Is that what you told them?" He chuckled, turning to me. "One, your father doesn't own this town, only the packlands. Secondly, did you ever think of asking her why she doesn't like it?" I looked around the room confused. Quill stepped forward. "No one is allowed to call her that, not even her parents were allowed to. Only Xaloc calls her that and everyone back home knew it was a name only Xaloc could call her", he smirked. Xaloc's POV There she was, beautiful as ever. "Mate!" Xyren growled. I froze seeing that bastard pup talking to her. I couldn't let him think that was even an option. Then has the audacity to call her Nahi. I looked at her as Quill enlightened Aibek, I walked towards her, watching her watch me. I didn't know how well this would go, she might think that we had abandoned her. I slowly closed the distance between us. "Nahi", I sighed contently, feeling lighter and better being able to touch her. Not being around her has been the hardest, and now I find out she is my mate. I'm her second chance. It didn't matter, I have always known, since I was little, and we first hung out. I felt it in my soul. It hurts when she hurts. I smiled just because she did. Everyone back home knew the place Anahi held in my heart and soul. I always made my goals and intentions up front and clear. I never dated other girls. I always made sure to be unapproachable to everyone but her. She knows, and if she doesn't, I'm going to show her. She looked into my eyes, the eyes only I can read because she lets me. I saw all the pain they caused her, I felt it. "Anahi, you haven't seen them in 10 years. How can you trust him?" I turned in Aibek's direction, growling "She has never trusted anyone as much as she does me. I'm the constant, I am to her something you and the grimy pack wouldn't even be able to begin to comprehend. I would be careful with what you say. The only reason i haven't hurt you is Anahi being here." Aibek's POV Seeing his hands on her and her not flinching really got to me in a way I wasn't expecting. She looked content, safe and bright in a way I had never seen. Almost ethereal, wait a minute.... I shook my head, clearing those crazy thoughts out of my mind. "She is still apart of this pack, she and I need to have a conversation in private" I growled, not able to keep my emotions in check. "Ooof you've done it" I heard Quill say before I felt my body being smashed against the wall behind me, knocking the breath out of me. Before I can catch my breath, I feel myself being lifted, and I look into the most crazed eyes of Xaloc. "NO ONE tells me Anahi can't be around me, ESPECIALLY a brat like you. If it weren't for your father threatening my pack if I hadn't stayed away, I would've been here 10 years ago to get her. She belongs to me, always has, and always WILL". I could feel his rage as if it were a shadow circling around his being. " Hey man, let him go. You're going to kill him, we have to let this go smoothly, so we can take her." I heard Quill trying to rip his brother off of me. It wasn't working though, he looked even more crazed, if that was even possible. "Xaloc" I hear the softest voice and I know he does too. I can tell by the way he just let me drop as if I had burned him. It was the way she spoke in almost a mystical whisper. I saw her hand on his shoulder, he turned to her and grabbed her as if she were his lifeline, and they began to slightly glow while holding each other. What the hell was that? I was brought out of my thoughts by Quill exclaiming "Holy s**t our parents were right." He stood there smiling. What were they right about? I need to get home to my dad, i need clarification.
