Chapter 15 - Stranger

Harper’s POV

I ran deep into the forest like a coward. There was something that triggered something inside with me because of that wolf. He smelled weird too. Not like a nasty smell but different. I shook off my doubts and continued my walk home.

I got home and mate stood there waiting for me with a smile on his face.

“Did you get one?”

“You’re asking like I just won you a piece of candy but of course I got one”

“No need for the tone”

“Yes, sir”

“Good little Mate now go and clean up you smell like a dumpster”

My face turned bright red but I ran away before he could see it. I walked up the stairs to my room. It had a small bed in the corner and a set of drawers. I threw my bag down and started to strip, the scent of that wolf was all over me. I tried to batt away the smell but it wouldn’t go away. I finally gave up and turned on the water to my tub. The water was scorching hot but that’s the way I liked it. It makes me feel like I’m melting away the germs of the day. I slowly got in letting the water cover like a blanket. I rinsed off again and got out turning on the shower water to wash. I smelled my arm to see if I got the stinch off but it was still there. Mate will be so mad if he smells someone else on me. The smell was like the forest, beautiful yet deadly. I stepped into the shower and let the water run over me. I reached for my shampoo and tried to squeeze some out but it was empty, great. I threw across the bathroom and into the tub. I looked around to see what i cold use instead, nothing. Just wonderful, I got my body wash and washed my body. Then shaving and getting out. I reached for a towel from the sink and caught the smell again. Why! I get hand soap not caring if I get water all over the bathroom floor. I scrubbed my arms to try and get it off but it wouldn’t go away! Ugh fine, if you really must hate me smell! I snatched my towel and quickly dried my self off and threw some clothes on still sopping wet. I dried my hair and put it up quickly and grabbed a perfume bottle and started spritzing it all over my body. I walked away from my cloud of perfume and smelled myself again . The smell was still there! I gave up and went downstairs to eat lunch. I could hear mate talking to his beta and stopped standing still.

“What should I do she soo annoying?”

“Just get rid of her then”

“I can’t she is valuable”

“For what?”

“Her two mates stupid”

“Oh yeah”

“And plus she is doing some of my dirty work. Also she is going to kill her mates, her brother and another hybrid”

“True but just lock her up she won’t know the difference, she is under the spell”

“Yeah but still I don’t know if that stuff actually works”

“Ok, she went to her mates pack house and came back! Both of them were there and she still came back not questioning your orders! How can you not see that?”

“Fine you win”
