My Stolen Heart

Chapter 11 - Mission

I walked down the road for what felt like forever when I found a small hotel. I walked over to the door and read the sign

CLOSED

Great now where was I going to stay. I looked around to see if I found anything. When out of the corner of my eye I saw a dumpster. Just perfect (note the sarcasm) I walked over to where it stood in the corner of a dark alley. When I reached it a familiar smell filled my nostrils but I couldn’t pinpoint what it was. I just ignored it and lifted up the lid. There was a mattress covered in leftover food and rats. I stepped back and jumped in. All the rats ran away and hid. I got down on my knees and pushed all of the food to the side. I pulled the mattress up from the bottom of the dumpster and dragged it out. I layed it next to the dumpster and went back in to see the food. There was chicken fingers mixed with Mac and cheese in a half open bag. The other food was almost fully covered with flies so I didn’t even want to mess with that. I grabbed the bag and hopped out of the dumpster. I quickly closed the lid and dusted off my mattress. I made sure there were no bed bugs but when I flipped it over there was a huge stain, blood. I grimaced at the site it was almost as big as the mattress which was a queen. I flipped it over to the clean side and slowly sat down. I pulled out my chicken fingers and Mac and cheese which was spilled all over the bag and dug in. The chicken was cold and the Mac and cheese was hard but it would suffice my hunger till I could find anything.

I woke up to the sun shining bright over my head and a rat next to my head. I smacked it away and quickly sat up. I looked for my bag and made sure I had all my guns still. I pulled out my toothbrush and toothbrush paste and began brushing my teeth. When I was finished I got up and began my journey. First I had to figure out who these people were. Second I had to find them. Third kill them. That didn’t sound too hard considering my training but I had to please mate so I started off into the woods.
