Chapter 15 Breakfast with the Pack

It is early Sunday morning, around 530am. Breakfast with the pack will begin at 8am sharp. I keep looking over at the outfit that Marissa and I choose. It is simple but cute. Light blue skinny jeans with a pastel pink shirt and an olive-green jacket over it, the shoes are just white and black adidas. I like it but I haven’t worn anything like it in a while. I decide that I should take a warm shower, surely that will help calm my nerves. To my surprise after my shower, Marissa is in my room sitting on my bed. “Now that your clean, we have about an hour and half to get you ready. So, hurry up and get dressed.” She says with a smile. I grab my clothes and got to top the drawer in my dress and grab a lilac bra and panties that match and walk back to the bathroom to get dressed. Marissa knocks on the door and says, “Are you dressed?” I reply with a simple “Yes”. She enters with a bag of stuff. I wonder when she grabbed that, I didn’t see it with earlier when she was on my bed. “Sit down on the bench, so I can do your make up.” She starts by having me close my eyelids and applies eye liner is what she says it is called and next is the mascara. Then she applies a light pink matte lipstick on my lips. She explained the whole process to me as she was doing it. I get up and look in the mirror and oh my goddess, I look different but a girly different. “You already are so beautiful but the make up just outlines your beauty and makes it pop!” Marissa says with a huge smile on her face. I blush and give her a shy “Thank you.”  “Now come on dear it is almost 8 and Jax is waiting for you in the hall.” She tells me as she is making the shooing motion. Sure, enough Jax was just a little way down the hall waiting for me. I walk up to him and grab his hand. “Hello, beautiful.” He says to me. I blush and say “Hello” back to him. “Are you ready to be reintroduced to your pack?” “Yes” I reply bashfully. He looks me in my eyes and says “If you get uncomfortable, we can leave the breakfast. Okay?” “Okay.” I say back. I take deep breathe before we walk down the stairs. Once we make open the back door and make it outside, everyone stands up and says good morning Alpha and Luna. Jax responds to his pack and says, “Good morning everyone!” We walk around and greet a few wolves before we get in line and make our plates. We then sit down and wait until everyone has a plate and is seated. Then then all start looking at Jax and I patiently… I looked at him questioningly. He mind links me “They are waiting for us to take a bite because they cannot eat until we take the first bite.” I nod understanding what he said. We take the first bite together and everyone then starts eating and chatting away. “What do you think my love?” He asks me tenderly. “It is good. However, I did not know that the pack was this big.” I reply. “We are now the second largest pack in America and hopefully will be the strongest pack next year and the IWW.” He tells me. “How big was the pack before I was taken?” I ask. His reply was “We were the tenth biggest pack, but we made it up for it in our strength.” “How did we grow so much and so quickly?” I ask him. “Well, in the search for you, we took over a few smaller packs that were being mismanaged by their Alphas.” “Oh” was my reply. We then ate our food in silence until a pack member came over and asked how we are doing. We both replied that we were doing well. Then a younger pack member came over and asked, “What was like being gone so long?” Jax told him politely but sternly “That is none of your concern”.  “Its okay Jax.” I tell him. I reply to the young wolf “It was rough and way to long for my liking.” The young wolf replied, “I am sorry to hear that Luna, we are glad that you are back.” “Thank You” I replied. He bids his farewell. Jax then turns to me and says, “You didn’t have to tell him Elle.” “I know that I didn’t, but they deserve to a little.” I say to him. “Okay, beautiful.” He replies satisfied with my answer. The breakfast was going well until Ashley came over. “Alpha, do you think that she fit for a Luna? I mean she attacked like a wild beast. I feel that a wild beast like her is not fit to be a Luna.” Ashley said loudly so everyone would hear. I heard a few gasps and a part of me wanted to cry but Bellona was growling ferociously and wanted to show her place. “ENOUGH!” Jax yelled angrily at her. “Let’s not forget how you were yelling at your sister in law and disrespected your Luna by shoving her and yelling at her. She simply put you back in your place.” He said angrily at her and loud enough for everyone to hear. “You will spend 2 weeks work cleaning and helping at the farms.” He told her sternly. “But Alpha, I already have a duty. I cannot do that.” She said with a whiny tone. “You will do that, or I will banish you from the pack. I will not let anyone disrespect our Luna without consequence.” He said sternly. I heard a few shocked gasps when he said the word banish. Ashley lowers her head and says, “Yes, Alpha.”  “Now, apologize to your Luna.” He says again sternly. She submits and says, “I am sorry Luna.” “Thank you, Ashley. Now you may go.” I tell her. “Are you okay, my love?” Jax asks me tenderly. “I am fine Jax, I have had worse said to me.” I tell him. “I promise you love that those rogues will pay for what they have done to you.” He says with anger in his tone, “I am so sorry if I scared darling,” he tells quickly changing his tone to a gentle one. “Let’s go inside, I would like to read a book now.” I tell him. I grab his hand once I stand up and we both go inside and to his personal library that he gave me a key to. I grab a book that I have been reading and bid him a farewell since he must go start the training. “Bye, baby girl, I love you and will see you soon.” He says to me so sweetly before he shuts the door behind him.
