Chapter 7
Before Will could think of something to say besides “Oh hell yes,” Annie spoke from right beside him. He hadn’t even noticed her walking up with her arm around the grown woman he finally recognized as Chris’s bratty little sister Janie.
“I think Janie and I will do just fine, thank you very much,” Annie said. “She’ll be a lot more fun than listening to you old farts catching up on old times. Great to see you again, Chris! Maybe Will can take off early and give you a tour of your old hometown.”
She stepped forward and hugged Chris.
Will was delighted when the formerly incredibly annoying Janie gave him a hug and a quick peck on the cheek.
