CHAPTER.6

Archer Pov:

I turned back to see one of the eldest holding my hand, and I yanked his hand away.

“Why is he here?” I wondered within myself.

“Archer, as the upcoming leader of the pack, you don’t need to behave this way to your park members no matter what they have done to you,” Eldest Remus said, gazing at me.

“So I should let him kill me before I take my move… Why are you even here? I already let you know I don’t want to become the leader of the pack because this is the same pack that led to my father's death. He died in the battle and now you also want me to take his step, wait… if I die, who will take care of my mother, can you guys please leave me alone” I half yelled.

Everyone stared at me in shock but who cares.

“Archer is not as if we wanted to force you to become the pack leader but before your father died, he already wrote a decree, saying if he died we should make his son the leader of the pack or else there should be no leader in this pack, we need to do what he says. This is how we have been doing since our ancestors and we need to keep following the rules so Archer you need to abide by the rule” He said and I frowned.

“Why did father do this? He wrote this decree to make me become the leader of the pack so that Mateo or his son will not be the leader, he knows his brother is evil” I thought.

“So what’s your reply now?” Elder Fenrir asked.

“Can you guys give me some time to think about everything because I can’t just say yes now” I uttered, staring at them.

Elder Remus and Elder Fenrir both exchanged glances then they nodded, I rubbed my hand on my hair thinking about everything, I changed into my wolf form and ran to the woods, I got to the place the border, I thought if I didn’t follow the stupid rules the eldest won’t make me the leader anymore, I was about to cross the border when someone jumped on me, my wolf whimpered, I stood up in anger, I was about to hit the wolf when I saw it’s a pure white wolf, I jumper into the woods, and turned into my human form, I immediately got dressed. After I was done, I walked towards where the wolf was.

“Hola, is that you?” I asked and she nodded.

Without thinking twice, she turned into her wolf form in front of me, I immediately turned back covering my eyes, and she chuckled.

“I’m done dressing” She muttered.

I turned back slowly, she was smiling and I glared at her.

“Didn’t I warn you not to cross this border again, your father and my pack are enemies” I said but she was only drooling on me.

I snapped my finger jolting her out of her review.

“What did you say?” She asked.

“Stop pretending as if you did not hear what I said… do you know that you could get killed if someone from my pack sees you” I stated, and she bowed her head sadly.

“Why is it that my pack and your pack are enemies? Archer, Is this the reason why you hate me?” She questioned and I nodded.

“I don’t want to see you here again, if I see you here again I am gonna report to the eldest in my pack and you might get killed if they catch you so stay away from them. We can never be together” I said in a serious tone.

Without waiting for her reply I turned into my wolf form and ran speedily to Adrian’s place. I was on my way when I spotted the lady that I saw at the club last night walking towards a dark place, I followed her and saw her with Mateo, I listened to their conversation, and Mateo gave the lady her money.

“So he was the one that sent the lady to do that to me, no wonder she dares to pour the drink on me, I will make sure I teach them some lessons for doing this. I need to Inform the elders that I am ready to become the leader of the pack” I thought and left the place.

Getting to Adrian's place, I met him and spoke with Celesta, I went to his room to get a change. As soon as I was done, I went back to the living room and sat down on the sofa. Celeste stood up from where she was sitting and sat down next to me.

“Why are you sitting next to me? Can’t you sit with Adrian? Celesta, stop clinging on me” I muttered.

She rolled her eyes.

“Bro, where are you just coming from?” Adrian asked and I faced him.

“Adrian, what if I told you it was Mateo who sent the girl that poured a drink on me last night, I wish I could kill her right now,” I said with anger in my voice.

“Calm down, I knew it was either Ryker or his father. Why is your uncle so wicked, he doesn’t even want you to be the leader of this pack because he doesn’t want you to command him..… he is even using your mom to threaten you” Adrian said.

“What if he is the one that killed your dad?” Celesta said and we both exchanged glances.

“I don’t think so, I heard my father died in the war and they haven’t found his body up till now”’ I said as I stood up.

I walked towards the bar and poured myself a drink.

“Yes, you’re right… Archer, I think Hola likes you” Adrian said and Celesta glanced at me.

“Who is Hola?” She asked, facing Adrian.

Adrian glanced at me and I gave him an eye signal not to say anything.

“I am asking you guys who is Hola?” She said with a frown.

“Celesta, what’s your business with the person that likes me, you kept forcing yourself on me and you even want to know everything that is going on in my life, why are you wasting your time on me instead of searching for your mate” I said and gulped the wine.

She scoffed.

“Adrian, I think I am ready to lead the pack and fight with our enemies,” I said and they both glanced at me.

“No, no…Archer, I can’t lose you” Celeste said and was about to touch me when I glared at her.

“Are you sure, bro? You know you have…”

“Don

’t worry, I am ready. I want to grant my father's last wish” I said and he nodded.
